No Kombat Pack 2 for Pc?

So, is this what happened? WB said to NRS: "stop supporting pc version" and NRS said: "Okay, boss" :) Are you kidding?

No, he's not kidding when NRS weren't allowed to comment for an entire year on the PS3/X360 versions that quietly were cancelled and commented on the PC just once near launch. HVS weren't allowed to comment on PC version post launch either. WB is holding NRS/HVS (and Rocksteady with Arkham Knight for that matter) hostage. WB is a stinkin POS.

And to that Misucra I say watch this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YIXpgj8Ubg

If anyone trusts what WB says they're out of their mind. WB are more shady than Slim.

galaxyjack: Yes, WB has sadly dropped support of the PC version. Pretty much overnight. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. Why? Because they're greedy and it would cost them some money even though MKX has been the best selling game of 2015 off of which they made tens of millions of dollars alone. Because updating an already working port is surely beyond the capabalities of a billion dollar company. I wonder what happens when that petition hits 10K.

Never said that WB are saints. Even so what I am implying is that NRS ain't saints as well. Because I tend to read a lot of people. Just blame WB. NRS are victims here! No they not. Not even for a second I believe that WB doesn't allow them to even say sorry.

Especially after having a goddamn video footage of NRS representative lying to our faces. A$$holes met a$$holes and we got a big happy family of WB/NRS.

EDIT: Btw Mr.Ice. With all due respect. Just because someone made a video about that subject doesn't make it a fact. Yes, he raises valid points, but they are all opinions based on his personal experience. It wouldn't make my claims any more legitimate if I were to go and make a video about it too.

If my experience with Netherrealm was different, when I would be looking at that video differently. But right now, I know that NRS ain't saints. And whatever happened, it wasn't just because WB is the only evil dictator who torments Studios under it.

Even if PC port was WB whole idea, the way NRS handled their PR was pathetic.

And please don't bullshit me, that Tyler would have been fired if he had wrote a message like this.

"Mortal Kombat XL and Kombat Pack 2 will available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only. Sorry"

This is why I stick to consoles for fighting games.

Besides Legion, the only other PC game I'm looking forward to this year is Overwatch. Other than that, I've never been interested in PC games other than the Sims.

Sorry to those who really wanted a PC Mortal Kombat X. Maybe they'll do something nice for those with their next game, whatever it is. :-/

Warner Brothers PC ports have never been any good that is the truth and nothing but the truth.

That's what happens when you use a studio with a horrible porting history. If anything, it makes WB guys look like idiots, for hiring someone with shitty history and expecting them to deliver top triple A quality.

no mkxl on pc means war
aka
pc needs to have an adequate response
aka
no half-life 3 on consoles

:fawkdance:

(no really though pc mk is done and dusted, there is nothing you can do other than hope that wb/nrs decides to actually keep their word and make "pc version as good as consoles")

I have almost 0 issues with MKKE and Injustice. I had a better GPU than the required but a weaker CPU. Strangely, I experienced micro stuttering sometimes in MKKE but it wasn't game breaking. In Injustice however, I had no issues. After I bought an i5, I have always had a flawless experience. So I didn't really understand why people hate HSV that much. Then came MKX, and I had the same issues as most of you had. But I still can't tell that every PC port had issues because I still play Injustice sometimes and it's fine. I haven't played IGAU on console though so I can't make authentic comparisons.

I stand corrected. Most of them aren't that good that is the truth though. I forgot about those two games you mentioned.

But how long did it take to make these two games good enough on PC? Definitely not day 1. QA in WB in regards to PC is non-existent.

They did good for console-users, but if you're a PC owner, don't buy one of their games at launch. Wait and see if it works on PC at first, and if it doesn't, don't support them. Don't buy the game. If WB aren't selling games on PC, they will learn that they have to do something about.

What's the saying... vote with your wallet? And don't let the hype get to you.

Also, off-topic, I love your avatar, BLP. I know it's not Undertale, but it reminds me of it. <3

I was just joking about them becoming bankrupt but I wasn't joking about them getting their act together on their PC Ports and give the fans what they deserve in their games. Like someone else pointed it out 2 good games isn't changing a thing when most of their games came out all wrong and glitchy. To be truthful I am mostly a PC gamer myself but I am trying to save up enough money to get the consoles. I have played the console games at a friend's house and they are a lot of differences in all of them. Stay classy my friends.

I found this comment in steam forum:

("This decision would have been made by the game's development team. I am afraid we here in technical support don't have any more information about the background for this decision.
Don't hesitate to get back in touch if you have any further questions or issues!"

This is the official answer from wb tech support, go and sign the petition and spam twitter facebook and twitch)

It is obvious that Nrs is responsible for this.

but i thought nrs = goody two shoes?

i'll start playing the stereotypical nrs fan to no end and say that wb support has no idea what they're talking about, wb are clearly at fault here, wb are liars, nrs has no say in this, there is no way nrs would say no to extra money and it's 1000% wb's fault

Rumors, gossips, maybes... I jumped ship and went to PS4. It took me 1 month to learn how to play with a controller as I played MKKE and IGAU on keyboard (like a virtuoso piano player, sometimes my fingers were all over the place :D ). DS4 is actually pretty good for MKX, but after the first session I was desperate as I struggled even in Tutorial. I don't even know when was the last time I held a contoller before.

So I re-learned the whole game from scratch, it was like April 2015 all over again. By the time MKXL were out, I was ready to go. The learning process was fun, the game is fun. My first console ever and so far, so good. But I still won't forget what NRS have done here. Even if WB bosses them around, they owe an apology to the PC community.

But it is still possible that the silence is good news if anybody is still interested. I visit TYM once in a while and there's a PC topic too. I don't want to get anybody's hopes up but I found this:

I made a call to the WBIE Support line and asked about the future of MKX on PC. The rep told me the only thing they know for certain is, "MKXL and the Enhanced Online functionality will not be available for now". He actually seemed very optimistic that it could show up in the future, even giving me his best guess at when("if I had to guess I would say sometime before the holiday season" he said). After that, I asked about future balance patches to which he responded, "You can expect to receive balance patches and bug fixes as normal."

So, don't give up yet. Try to keep this conversation going for as long as possible.

I don't know how real is this, but it sounds like WB. If there's money in it, they want to make as much as they can. I can even say that maybe they learned from past mistakes and didn't want to make the same mistake here once again so they haven't launched MKXL yet because they want to implement GGPO flawlessly this time and iron out all issues before launch. If that's the case, and it's a big IF, then it's not a bad thing after all.

But playing on PS4 also has its perks. No Steam issues, no GPU driver issues, no different hardver, different experience issues. Don't do it just for MKX(L), but being a PS4 player is a fun experience so far and you have a complete system for a price of a GTX970. And I, for one, prefer to play without issues rather than have a 4k resolution and a broken game.

If NRS does hire a new team to fix WB's mess than I say good for them at listening to the fans. SO KP2 could still happen on PC.:)
