New Ideas for the 3D Characters for MK11

Redesign 3D characters for MK11

Kenshi, Tanya & Bo'Rai Cho have been revamped in their movelists.

But question is for the next game, what to do with the others?

- Fujin

- Nitara
- Frost
- Sareena
- Shujinko
- Ashrah
- Hotaru
- Dairou
- Darrius
- Kira
- Taven

Those that are dead:
- Hsu Hao

- Drahmin
- Moloch
- Kobra (hopefully)

Fujin, Li Mei, Sareena, Havik and Hotaru should be used in some way, I think (despite Havik being dead in the comics according to this list).

I'd like to see Li Mei take on a political role of sorts who challenges Kotal's politics in Outworld. Perhaps the Edenians continue to rebel and she'd rather Kotal just release Edenia to them so that Outworld can grow strong again, but Kotal continues to refuse. Li Mei leads a movement (not of Edenians but of Outworld men and women who are also tired of the war) in an attempt to overthrow Kotal and give Outworld an emperor who is deserving of the throne.

As for what her moves should be... I don't know. I don't have the time to sit and think all that out. But I'd like to see her fighting style very elegant and disciplined.

Fujin should step in after Raiden becomes too unstable and crosses a line that makes Earthrealm look almost villainous. Maybe Raiden goes too far and tries to engage in Mortal Kombat with a weakened Outworld.

I'd like to see Sareena go on a personal quest to try and find Noob Saibot and bring him back to the light (while connecting it to whatever the main story is). Give her a more savage and uncontrolled fighting style.

The other two should someone play into the next game as the main antagonists. I always felt like NRS was sitting on something great with the whole Order Realm and Chaos Realm concept but never really did anything worthwhile with it.

I'm pretty neutral on most of the others with the exception of Taven and Daegon. I absolutely hate them and hope to never see them in an MK game again. I've always liked Reiko and Mavado, but I've accepted that they will most likely never return.

Ashrah

So damn underrated, and all because of the Raiden hat and Kung Lao spin. As a demon looking for redemption (but being tricked by her weapon), she's got a neat backstory. Her visual design stands out among all the MK females by eschewing the traditional skimpy look for something more conservative.

Kris blade across all variations
Variation 1: Divine/holy light powers
Variation 2: Hidden demon within
Variation 3: Voodoo gimmick

Hotaru has a really cool design, but I'm at a loss as to what they can do with him gameplay-wise now that Tanya has taken his naginata. Maybe they can make him a walking samurai arsenal by giving him a bunch of other weapons from that time period?

I'd love to see Havik too. Thankfully death doesn't mean much in MK, especially for someone like Havik.

Fujin should have a role as well, but he's destined to become NRS' running gag.

Don't actively care about the rest, but I'd be happy to see any of them revamped.

Now that I think about it, I'd kinda like to see a revamped Dairou. He may be the most forgettable character ever in the series. It's a nice challenge. lol

I'd also like to see Ashra, Sareena, Havik, Hotaru and Fujin.

Since you guys already covered them, I'll do my own fantasizing with Drahmin. I've heard that he died in the comics along with Moloch but doesn't mean anything in this world as Lord Greyjoy as mentioned. The comics were filled with canon breaking plot holes and contradictions so that's another thing to consider. NRS should just use the bits and peices from the comics they like because as Yellow Ledbetter said, I believe, Kittleson made his own bullshit canon with the comics.

__________
Story: Drahmin was a Warlord before he became an Oni Tormentor, his concept arts show this. He has a hidden agenda to restore himself. He breaks away from Emperor Liu Kang and Kitana's rule by enticing offers made by the devious Havik. Havik offers to help restore him to his former self as a living Warlord after a series of quests. Drahmin suspects Havik is decieving him as a tool to create chaos among the realms. (That's enough to work with I think)

Drahmin could have a revamp of his standard costume, an unmasked alternative, and a third of his human warlord appearance.

Universal moves: Upper Club, Shruken Head projectile, Club Quake, Club Spin

Variation 1: A zoning variation. They add extra range and hits to his club attacks (similar to Liu Kang's Dragon Fire). (Eyes glow red through mask)

Variation 2: A more brawler focused variation focusing grabs commands and extended club combos. (Club glows red from heat treatment)

Variation 3: A variation that focus' on a voodoo aspect to Drahmin. It adds two extra, altered forms of the shrunken head projectiles attacks and a seperate voodoo buff move. One Head clamps to opponents face, blinding them, bleed damage and leaves them vulnerable. Second Head explodes on impact and does big damage, enhanced adds juggle capability. (Shrunken heads glow on his costume)

Fatality 1: A revamp of Drahmin's Deadly Alliance fatality. Drahmin grabs the opponent by their collar and brutal smacks his club across his face knocking out teeth and breaking bones. He lets go and the opponent is violently dazed. He lifts his club up to charge a thrust down on his head, squashing it in to a mound of gore.

Fatality 2: Drahmin smashes the opponent's kneecaps in with his club dropping them to the ground. They attempt to crawl away as Drahmin climbs over top of them. He pulls his mask off and pulls their head upwards facing him. Drahmin spews viles goup and critters from his mouth in to the opponents mouth. The filth shrinks their head in to something morbid. He twists the head off and holds it next to the shrunken heads tied to his armor.

I might be alone on this but I thought Dairou was almost a cool character. A resistance mercenary from Order Realm is something fresh but kind of plugged in. His design was neat, but after Deception, nothing was expanded with these new characters. Its not entirely their fault that they hadn't grown in to more rememberable, better characters. I totally see why people can overlook him though. They never gave him enough attention other than his cool design. His playstyle was incredibly random like they didn't know what to do with him once they landed with a cool look. A fire triangle he shoots out of his foot and then Jarek's stomp inspired move? Dairou should of been taken care of better like a lot of these 3D characters that never got a chance.

* Li Mei

Variation 1: Kunlun Dao (A variation mostly based on her Kunlun Dao.)

Variation 2: Supernova (A variation mostly based on her Nova Blast projectile.)

Variation 3: Light Speed (A variation where she rushes to the opponent using fast punches and kicks similar to the style of The Flash and can use blue energy on her hands and feet to increase damage and speed.)

Variation 1: Kamas (Attacks based on her kamas that can be used a projectiles or as melee.)

Variation 2: Demonic (Attacks based on her demonic form.)

Variation 3: Succubus (Nitara uses her wings as attacks and to fly across the screen to either tackle or evade the opponent.)

Why do you hate Taven and Daegon? I think they're 2 of the coolest, most mythological fighters in the MK universe.I mostly dislike the silly human characters from the 3D era, like Kobra, Kira, Darrius, but that also goes for the silly human characters in the original trilogy or the new games: Stryker, Sonya, Jax, Cassie- they don't make any impression on me. I couldn't care less about them.

But the mythological characters from other realms....I absolutely love seeing them, reading about them or learning anything new. Especially the Edenian characters, they have such a wonderful history of their realm

Taven and Daegon were not only boring uninspired characters, but were attached to the very worst MK storyline ever. To even see them appear briefly in some of the MKX endings infuriated me. lol

I still think Dairou could be sick. Don't try to overcomplicate him, just give him old Asian weapons. Blow darts, that chain sickle thing, some shit with flash paper, really emphasize his martial arts with great animation.

He could become a fan favorite in no time

Ok, troll detected. The very worst MK storyline ever?
Did you even play the konquest mode? That was THE best story ever.

If you failed to grasp that...whoa, it's like a Keanu Reeves moment for you ;))

I quite like Taven and I somehow hope Kenshi's and Takeda's Arcade endings will become canon, and then bring Taven back as one helping to free Edenia.

I can see Taven as an NPC. Rather he not fight but assist.

I'd like him to be playable. I'm a minority, I know, but I liked him. Would love to see him wield a big two-handed sword with dragon motif and maybe even be able to summon Orin to his side in some special moves or in a Fatality.

Time controlling Taven can be a great addition to the roster, unfortunelly, i don't this happening. Cassie Cage looks to be the new protagonist

He doesn't need to be the main protagonist, since the Armageddon might have been prevented. And even so, the main protagonist swithes from game to game... Cassie isn't necessarily the main one in MK11, even if she's in the game.

It's okay to admit you have bad taste. There are others here like you.

I'd love to see some more females get a revamp.

Nitara- Can be the Queen of her Realm Vaeternus, which was never conquered by Shao Kahn (in the new timeline) but ready's her forces to attack other realms. Not to conquerer but to feast and replenish her ranks.
-Fatality: Not a Drop left- Vanishes off screen. And flys in landing on the opponent biting their neck, before ripping it off and continue to guzzle down their blood as it runs all down her body.

Frost- Having finished her training under Lin Kuei Grandmaster Sub Zero and by far his greatest pupil, she is ready for her own missions and to help Earthrealm in the coming events
-Fatality: Brittle- Freezing the ground beneath the opponent trapping their feet in the ice. Frost walks up to them and brings her leg up and holds it in a high split as she forms an ice blade around her leg. She then lets her leg go slicing the opponent in two as their body falls to the side

Sareena- Freed from Quan Chi's control, Sareena had helped the Special Forces in their ambush of Quan Chi and his Revenants in the Netherrealm. Now she pledges her Loyalty to Kuai Liang and has become his personal bodyguard
-Fatality: Whirlwind of Doom- Sareena kicks the opponent's head multiple times then she does a backflip kick and finishes her opponent off by performing a double punch to their chest causing their back to explode out

Kira- One of the 2 youngest members of the Black Dragon, the other being Kano's son. While Kano trained his son, Kira was trained by Taisa. She and Kano's son are ready for their 1st mission, break Kano out of Special Forces Custody. She is eager to begin
-Fatality: Black Dragon Way- Kira takes one of her knives and stabs the opponents thigh causing them to fall to one knee as she jumps holds their head and stabs them in the back of their head/neck as it comes out in their forehead. She pushes down and then pulls the knife out wiping the blood clean on their body
