Shao Khan has red eyes too, but if dragon king ressurected them the storyline would be screwed because shakhan gets revived in haviks ending and goros dead.........oh........ya.......mortal kombat characters never die, but still the storyline would not make sense
 
I'm pretty sure that Goro and the other Shokan have always had red eyes actually, after some looking it seems that Shao Kahn has always had red eyes as well.

Hahaha, after tooling around MK Warehouse for those photos, I found one of how SHORT the actor (Brian Glynn I think) is that played Shao Kahn, check out this pic.

Nah, there'll be more than one. Remember not all of the endings center around defeating the Dragon King.
