I was thinking of a new feature in MK and it struck me: Why not have a FAILTALITY?
How to do a Failtality
All you have to do is......fail a fatality! When you are performing a fatality and you either move the wrong way or touch the wrong button, instead of just punch/kicking the opponent, you kill yourself.
Examples
Scorpion: You throw the spear at the opponent's head, but it misses and curls around your own neck. You try pulling at it but realize that the spear/chain is still in your hand, causing you to accidently choke yourself to death.
Reptile: You fling your tongue at the opponent. Your aim is terrible and you miss the opponent, hitting the wall. Not realizing that you missed, you pull your tongue back, breaking a chunk of the wall, and it flies back at you and crushes you.
Sub Zero: You shoot ice at the opponent, but you miss and coat the floor instead. Not realizing it, you run across the ice towards the opponent, slip on the ice, flip over, and land headfirst into the ice, cracking your skull.
Smoke: Instead of attacking the opponent, you take out a pack of cigarettes and start smoking. Since you have lots of smoke in your body, you suddenly get lung cancer and die.
Ermac: Instead of lifting the opponent using gravity, you accidently lift yourself. The camera then faces up and it shows you getting hit by a helicopter straight through the ass by Sonya Blade.
Noob: You summon a clone of yourself. It turns out that your clone was drunk, and he rips off your leg instead of the opponent's. It then realizes that your other leg is still there, calls you lazy for not ripping off "the opponent's" other leg, and rips the other leg off.
Kitana: She takes out her fans but she notices that her clothing is falling off. Embarassed, she covers her legs but does not realize that her fans were still open and accidently slices her own feet in half.
Baraka: He gets ready to do the "Take A Spin" fatality and stabs the victim in their chest. However, the opponent suddenly throws up and Baraka, disgusted, steps back but trips over the vomit. Since his blade is still inside the opponent's body, the opponent falls with him and their toe plants itself in the middle of Baraka face, breaking his nose.
Johnny Cage: He performs a split to start his fatality but there is a rock underneath his groin and his peni$ starts bleeding like crazy. While holding his damaged balls, he accidently summons a Force Ball and blows his nuts off. ("somewhat" inspired by Nasty Freak's idea)
Liu Kang: He gets ready to do his basic fatality (Fire punch thing) but his headband slips over his eyes, temporarily blinding him. He trips over and tries raising the headband, but forgot that his fist was still on fire. He burns his own eyes off.
Kung Lao: He slides his hat in a 360 spin (just to show off) and accidently slices his finger off. Groaning in pain, he throws the hat straight at the opponent's head. However, since his finger was damaged, his aim is bad and he misses. He looks for the hat, forgetting that it worked like a boomerang. All of a sudden, the hat comes back to him and slices his neck off.
Kano: He pulls out his knives to start his fatality. All of a sudden, his metal eye starts malfunctioning (Jax hacked it). The laser starts blasting all over the place, including where the opponent is standing. However, Jax jumps down from the air in a Special Forces helicopter, grabs the injured opponent, and the helicopter beams him up using a rope.
Kano desperately tries to stop his eye and plunges his knife into the eye. While sacrificing his own eye, the lasers stop. But he had just burned the earth in front of him and fell deep into the ground. The screen then moves up and you see Sonya in the pilot seat of the helicopter, flashing her middle finger.
Stryker: He gets ready to do his fatality, but suddenly the chief of police shows up. "Sorry, Stryker," he begins, "But we've decided to fire you. You're too violent, and the media thinks you're too buff to be a cop. Maybe you could get a job as a pro wrestler or something." He takes the cap off of Stryker's head and walks back to his car. You hear the engine run and the car drive away.
Stryker, frozen in shock, falls to the ground, surprised to death like THIS:
