New characters for the next game.

Arab or a Persian warrior. With an ancient sword or axe

Great idea. Especially if it's a woman.

Other new characters I'd like:

A female member of Nightwolf's tribe, or just a Native American gal in general.

A love interest for Kung Jin.

We have Kotal Kahn based on Aztec mythology, how about a new character based on Norse mythology?

Plus the shokan are Hindu myth since Sheeva.

If they are alive.
Liu and Kitana both died in MK9 before any chance of that ever happened, though, and in MKX they are still dead.

In order for the son to exist, Kitana would have to give birth to him, first.
That's the conundrum.
To our knowledge, Liu and Kitana didn't have any love relationship in MK9, and they both died, and they're still dead in MKX.

Okay if Liu & Kitana don't have an offspring.

There's gotta be another way to bring out a new hero/protagonist into the next game with the time traveler theme? Cause I'm still sticking to this guy being a mix of Tony Jaa & Brandon Lee.

Sure, but the time travel thing was just for MK9, as a way to reboot the series.
Plus, I could also see Kung Jin, Takeda, Jacqui or Cassie filling that role of the new hero protagonist.

Time traveling in MK9 was the visions. This time, how about someone from the future comes into to change the tragic past?

I can see Kung Jin die and turned into a revenant.

But if there was a new sorcerer - an alchemist, he could turn Kung Jin into a homunculus.

I still don't see why anyone would immediately want to ditch four brand new characters for a new one. FOUR new characters and people still want a new hero.

I'm glad it's not Liu Kang anymore.

Cassie, Takeda, Jacqui, and Kung Jin can all stay for a while. Sure, bring in some new characters, but I'd rather have them be supporting or have them become a new antagonist. They don't need to replace what we have already.

Technically, the Norse part is already covered. "Thor" (the Norse God of Thunder) is one of the names Raiden is called (along with Raijin, Haokah, Zeus, Jupiter, and the alternatively spelled Rayden), so you can cross THAT off the list. If I'm not mistaken, Raiden's use of the Hammer in MK4 may have been a reference to his Norse equivalent/alternate name.

Agreed, Kitty_55.
Kung Jin, Cassie, Takeda and Jacqui don't need to die any time soon.
They've JUST been introduced into 1 new game.

I would also go as far as to include Kotal Kahn, D'Vorah, Erron Black and Ferra / Torr on that list as well.
We just got 8 new characters and people want them dead already?
I'm glad that people didn't immediately want the post-MK3 characters like Quan Chi, Shinnok and Kenshi dead when they first came out.

I say four new antagonists that rival the 4 new generation heroes from the last game. Have opposite personalities, yet have more experience in kombat, somewhat like how the Psycho Rangers was back in the days. After the events of X, I say Liu Kang and Kitana will recruit some newcomers of humanized demons to scout and keep an eye on Raiden and Earthrealm, as well as Outworld.

I definitely would love to see all of the new characters return for the next game. There's no reason to get rid of them.

There's people wanting to see more from D'Vorah's race, but not see her return. Why? I feel like they'll do a Baraka thing with her. Show us her race later on, but she will be the only one that will be playable. There's nothing wrong with that.

Every time I see "Egyptian fighter," I always think of Ramses III from Eternal Champions.

He turned into a bug.

I hate bugs.

But game bugs are cool.

A spider Kytinn would join named as Anansi after the mythical African spider.

Since D'Vorah defected Kotal Kahn, this Kytinn take over her spot.

Ferra & Torr? They must go.

Even if Shang Tsung does come back and absorbs some of the souls from Ermac, with Quan Chi dead its time another new sorcerer joins in?

Quan Chi once had the amulet.

What if this alchemist was an acolyte of Onaga and is preparing for his return? MK can use the Philosopher's Stone for it. Alchemy is sorcery too right?

We don't even know D'Vorah's race entirely, why should a completely new one take her place?

Why should Ferra/Torr go? They were really not bad characters and probably had one of the best arcade endings.

Give these characters another chance.

And to answer your question, yes alchemy is sorcery. Not sure why the "Philosopher's Stone" would be used to bring back Onaga, unless they want to see the giant dragon as a golden statue. Granted that sometimes it's used to grant immortality but why would they use that when the blood of an infant dragon can do the same?
