New bloodrayne game due out!

br1 and br2 were great games. then they had to make these awful movies. i hope if theres a br3 game it puts the game series back on track. youd think with all this vampire stuff being all popular now that there would be like a br5 or 6.
 
I loved Bloodrayne. I bought it as a Halloween game, and was shocked by how good it was.

Then I was very "meh" about Bloodrayne 2. Instead of being more like the first, it bought into the whole stupid vampire culture and everybody had to have pierced faces and look like Marilyn Manson. The game was fine, I just thought the atmosphere was bad.

This new game looks pretty awful. Bloodrayne is dark and gritty, not bright and cel shaded. It looks like a cartoon. Bad decision for this game.
 
Nice, Rayne is back! But... this 2D animation was sort of a turn off for me. I still love Bloodrayne though. I got to finish BR2 in my PS2 before I play this. lol ;-)

I hope this game has the nasty fatalities it does in Bloodrayne 2. Especially the ones that slices the victims virtically in half.
 
The fatalities in BR2 were awesome I loved it. Hum...I think I'll pop BR2 in when I get home now! lol BUt the best part of BR2 was the alternate outfits....ahh School Girl Rayen w/ pigtails *drool...fap! lol
 
Well this comes out today, anyone picking this up? I love 2D gaming, but I'm still on the fence on this one. It seems to be missing a certain oomph :\
 
Hmm wow I was playing this all wrong. I didn't realize she has very acrobatic movements and it's meant to be played like Devil May Cry more so than Castlevania. Holy hell this game is actually pretty damn good when you learn all her moves and start to play with finesse rather than like a typical action platformer. Think I will end up picking this up. :twisted:
 
lol has anyone thats played br2 noticed how on mk9 one of barakas fatalities is just like raynes.

anyway i got the new br game. its downloading now. cant wait.
 
Wow I got up to Chapter 8 and I couldn't recommend this game enough. It's really awesome. Some people might expect an easy jump/attack platformer and be initially put off, but you really gotta play this like a 2D Devil May Cry and plan where you jump/dash, attack, and use your combos and not just mash the attack button. Really digging it, and the hi-rez 2D art is gorgeously animated. I only wish the free dynamic theme it came with didn't have the damn PSN logo thing on the bottom left >:[
