New 2011 MK Figures by Jazware

Hey gang, I was covering Toy Fair for one of my buddies sites and guess what? Jazwares will be doing NEW MK Figures this year. They will come in both 6inch and 3 3/4 inch. The 6 inch figures and 3 3/4 inch will NOT have the same characters.....well at least not right away. They will not only be doing the characters from the 2011 game, but they will also be doing the CLASSIC look characters as well. I was able to see some of the prototype builds that look way better than anything the company has done before but unfortunately no photography was allowed of the prototype images. I was able to however take pictures of the the package the figures will come in. There will also by a cyborg 3 pack which is also awesome. Take a look at the pics I tweeted early today.

I love that you can see the sign that says "Do Not Photograph".
 
It says "Klassics"... So no, no confirmation of that character in-game. Won't be on-disc, anyway, as per Boon's poll.

FWIW, Jazwares is effing awful. Worst action figure company in the world. My Mega Man toys were broken before being taken out of the package, and they've promised a second wave three separate times to no avail -- even throughout the MM9-10 reboot. There is a good 70% chance these won't even reach the open market, in my opinion, given their reputation of both quality andreliability.

So why did Warner allow these wastes of fun to produce the new MK toys, anyway?

An excellent question, since Warner Bros has a working action figure relationship with both Mattel (DCUC) and the newly established Thundercats line from Bandai that just premiered state side for the first time at NY Toy Fair (I've posted links in my Thundercats thread).

I don't know much about Jazware (other than I think they also made the A-Team figs for the movie), but Mattel should have been a no brainer, unless of course they didn't want rights to the property.
 
Meh I wanted to actually see a pic of the figurine, I guess whtillnvrb's link is broken. Either way, I wanna feel like a young child again, so scorpion figuring for me please! :)

It is showing up on mine but it is the same pic as the one above it. His link seems to work.

Cyber Smoke, not Human Smoke -- given the leaks and the poll, Human Smoke is in the game. Boon asked who we'd like to see as DLC, thus implying they are not disc characters. Choices were Rain, Cyber Smoke, Kenshi, Shinnok and several others. Unless he's bluffing, which I'll assume he is being sincere, we can expect these characters to be exempt from the disc.
 
not happy about seeing cyber Smoke, but I theres a human Smoke there, so its not that bad.
Its kinda weird that theres MK 9 Sub and Scorpion as well as their MKU3 versions
Anyone notice hows its basically all ninjas, and Raiden and Cage.

I might buy a human smoke, that is if they don't totally **** up his character design

^^^This. Plus, I'll also buy the 3 pack of the Cyborg's and Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Hopefully they turn out well.
