National Treasure

Looks awesome.
<3 Nicholas Cage.

Hahaha. Are you actually serious? I saw that same preview during the game and laughed my ass off for a minute. I remember saying out loud to myself "Oh man. Thats gonna be a fucking disaster". The movie didn't look good ... but what made me laugh was the name of the movie. "National Treasure" just sounds like another Martin Lawrence or Chris Rock movie that involves some joke black guy turning into a power player within the United States. Besides, the movie stars Nicholas Cage who has yet to make a good movie in his career and the plot looks god awful.

I admit, it seemed dodgy at first, but after really trying to be fair, I've decided that at least the plot is original (as far as I know =\) and it just seemed like a "piece it together" movie. It's good they didn't tell *what* the treasure was, or anything that would spoil the movie. I can tell you this, though, if that movie ended up like "And the treasure.... was America..." I would knee myself in the face for ever giving it a chance.

The treasure is probabaly guarded by "The Patriots" and you have to defeat 10 metal gears to get to it. Haha. I don't know why I said that but when you said "And the treasure .... is America" it just sorta made me think of a similar ridiculous plot involving a pretty damn good game, minus the stupid ending.

Yeah this move looks rad. I think I know what's up. There's these devlopers that are going to take over the town, but one of the characters named Chunk finds out about a treasure buried somewhere near the town. A whole adventure ensues from this and there are all sorts of traps and spooky stuff on the way not to mention the clock is ticking and the developers are going to take over the town! Durring this mad cap caper this mob family chases the characters through the underground, there is even a big giant deformed ree ree named sloth that becomes friends with that Chunk fella. I don't want to spoil the ending, but there is a pirate ship and it may hold the key to saving the town and the day. Um wait no that was the Goonies. I think the only goony thing about National Treasure is Nicholas Cage.

I'll still see it though

This movie looks amazing. As I understand it, the screenplay is based on a short story written by Dan Brown while in college. For those of you who do not know who Dan Brown is, he is considered one of the greatest modern thriller novel writers out there, and he is the man behind "The Da Vinci Code." Although, those who've truly read his work should prefer "Angels and Demons." "The Da Vinci Code" is supposed to follow soon enough, with its own movie version.

Anywho, yeah, I really wanna see this movie.

You think that a local library would have that ''Angels and Demons'' book? Ever sinced I moved back to Jersey I haven't touched anything even remotely worthy of being called a decent piece of literature.

Doubtful. Just go to your local Barnes and Noble, or order it. It really is quite a read.

LOL same here

I like most of Nicholas Cage movies.
Funny you mention the Dan Brown book, I'm currently reading the Da Vinci Code. Half way through.
I heard about angels & demons. Most said it is good.

I saw it and it was a very good movie, was nothing like a Martin Lawrence movie, and I didnt think it would be. The closest thing to compare it to would probably be Tomb Raider or something, but its not really anything like Tomb Raider, hes not some kick ass guy, just very intelligent about history, but its very good.
