This was one of my favorite shows that i remember from the 90's. Does anyone else remember it? What was your favorite episode?
I have Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Manos: The Hands of Fate, Hobgoblins, The Dead Talk Back, The Phantom Planet, Monster A-Go-Go, The Final Sacrifice, Star Force: Fugitive Alien 2, Future War, The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Movie, Master Ninja 1, Space Mutiny, The Magic Voyage of Sinbad, I Accuse My Parents, and probably more.

one of the best shows ever put on television IMO.
gotta get the magic voyage of Sinbad, shit if I had the money I'd be buying a set of MST3K dvds myself.unfortunatly it'll be a while before I can since I have to pay an extra 80 dollars a month cuz some higher up fucked up but since she fucked the paperwork up I have to pay for it.so it won't be till July when I get some fun money to play with.

Yup

Yeah...they're so pricy, but they're worth every penny. I always rewatch them and i have some playing on my computer. :)

Oh hell yeah! That show was genius. The only other show on this planet that can constistently make me laugh like MST3K did is the Simpsons.

I keep meaning to buy some of the DVDs, but as it's been said, they're pretty expensive. When I get some money, though, I'll definitely be picking up as many sets as I can find.

I don't really have a favorite episode 'cause every one I've seen is absolutely hilarious, but the Spider Island one stands out in my mind. They were re-running it on the SciFi channel not too long ago, but they took it off again; what the hell? It forced me to get up at 6AM on Saturdays, but it was well worth it.

Of all the shows in television history that should be brought back, this is right up there for sure.

Yeah I know what you guys are talking about i think. i watched it every now and then it was pretty funny. I think my dad has the bat women episode. I think i know what your talking about the guy lost in space with the robots and they watch old old films and make fun of them. am i right?

Yep, you're right. One of the best shows of all times.

Was just like sitting around watching monster vision while getting drunk with a bunch of buddies with out having to clean up the house later :)

I think that's what made it so great.

This did come out in the UK... But I can't remember it... Someone refresh my memory please with a picture or... Something. :o '

The premise was that an astronaut and his two robot buddies were forced to watch horrible B movies by an evil woman in space.

Basically, they'd just show the crappiest, most laughably awful movies you could ever imagine, only they sorta superimposed the guy and his robots making jokes, adding their own dialogue and just generally being asses over it. It was awesome! They also had the silhouettes of the man and the robots at the bottom with a row of seats like they were in a movie theater.

It looked like this:

I guess they changed that stuff around a number of times. The last episode I remember seeing had a woman who ran everything. She had henchmen too, though, one of whom was an ape-dude. I think those were the more recent episodes.

Crow and Servo, yeah, that's right.

Oh yeah! Now I remember...

... Man that show was crap. Yet strangely... I still watched it. There was nothing else at the time. I never saw the humour in it... Well there were a few things that made me laugh here and there. But usually the micky takes of it I saw of it at the time it showed here were funnier then the actual show.

I remember in one of the shows they had a movie where a guy fell on some methane and broke the canisters... And one of the robots pointed it out and the other said 'Hey now what are gonna fill our cows with' or something along those lines. O.o'

The one that began with a short, called, "A Case of Spring Fever."

Coily-Noooo springs! (Redneck laughter and spring sound.)
Tom Servo-I'll show you, Coily. I'll digitize everything.

Now come on, that's not fair. Just because you didn't get it doesn't mean it's crap. It's definitely a niche-oriented show that's not for everybody, no question about it, but that doesn't make it bad.

Jeez, you're just such a killjoy when it comes to discussing the shows we all enjoy. :(
