If you could choose, which would you rather be in MK:A?

What surprises me is that they're putting so much effort into a create a character mode that will be obselete by the next Mk game. I would prefer Mortaro because he has always been my favourite end boss next to Shao Khan, but I can understand how difficult it would be to create a new template for just one character. I also get the feeling that we're heading indirectly toward 'KOMBAT SIMS' but then i am deeply paranoid    :(

Welcome back Spine Rip. Good to read from ya again

CAF has no appeal to me. There're enough good characters throughout the MK storyline that I wouldn't even care to mess with that part of the game.

Motaro all the way. If you're going to bring back all the characters (especially ones that weren't even in the arcade versions i.e. Rain and Sareena) then bring them ALL back.

Even if they cheese him up to make him a titan instead of that little sissy thing they had in MK3/UMK3 I'd be happy. I just want to see the finality of this game* really be final, and not leave any one out, no matter how much they sucked.

On another note, someone mentioned playing Created Fighters online, has the game even been said to contain online play like MKD and if so, will created characters be usable? I say this because pretty much every created character is going to have to be saved to the memory card, at least for the PS2, which means if you fight someone using a created character, you're either going to have to download that characters model and skin to your machine since it can't have every possible combination as a player model currently. Hell, the idea of 60+ 3D characters in one game is mind boggling. I figured MKD had pretty much reached the cap since we already saw a slight decrease in the character resolutions from MKDA to MKD.

*By finality I mean the final version before they start the series anew, not that it's the last MK game ever. We all know MK will never end :D

According to that magazine article, yeah. Certain things in that article implied that you'd be able to take your created characters online to fight. I think the quote from Boon mentioned something along the lines of the feature being good for online play as you'd never know what to expect from your opponent.

Would be amazed & impressed if you can take your CAF warriors online. Everyone's console will already contain the main 60 fighters, so that should be possible just like in MKD, but custom fighters could come in any shape or size.

If you can take CAFs online, you'll probably never see an official MK fighter ever again, the arenas will be full of custom guys! It might be good in some ways if CAF didn't work online .....

There will still be the guys who use the normal fighters. Sometimes you like to kick back and use a fighter you've come to know and love. Esp. if the one you've made isn't up to snuff.

i bet theyll wait a few months, put mk:a out on gamecube and have motaro as a bonus feature.

I actually hope that's what they do. Then all the whining bitches can cry more about how they HAD to buy another copy of the game because ONE CHARACTER is FOREVER.

Wait, dis. Shouldn't you be upset by that?

No. I can take either one, really and be happy. I wouldn't shell out another $50 for one goddamn character.
