Motaro, Chameleon, Khameleon, Rain

I agree with you, Love Cowboy!

There will be no Chameleon in MK9. Khameleon is a Nintendo version, so the female ninja won't be in! IMO they both are cheap and crappy characters we don't need at all! I would even prefer 2 Sub-Zeros on the main roster but not having this MKT gag.
As a result I can say: 4-legged Motaro and ninja Rain YES!
Chameleon/Khameleon-shit NO!

I have a feeling Khameleon will be back at some point (female) but Chameleon will not. Ed did not deconfirm Khameleon by the way, just Chameleon, though I don't trust Boon on twitter anyway.
 
And I quote "If you have a favorite character from MK1-UMK3 they will most likely be in. Anything past that will only be a possibility of DLC."

Get a clue? Excuse me, but Ed Boon says a lot of shit... I refuse to believe that Chameleon wont make some kind of appearance in the future. Especially if they're going for secret characters. He'll be back. I'm willing to bet money on it.

And I'll also bet that he returns with a proper story.

Am I talking MK9? No. MK9 DLC? Eh, maybe.

I'm thinking further down the road.

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with Chameleon. There's not enough about him to love or hate him as a character. The only thing you can really say is "I love/hate his design."

I think he deserves a shot. I mean, they gave flippin Stryker another go... and no one likes that asshole.

I'm Pro-Chameleon. Him not being a huge character in the past doesn't mean he can't be one in the future.

I agree, He can come out... and what about Tremor, they probably will put him in a future game as cameo or playable, only because he came out in one game doesn't mean he will not come out in the future

All 3 need a second chance!

I'm one guy that likes Stryker. And I know a lot of other people "like that asshole". Though there are a lot of haters. But him being in one 3 second leaked voice clip hasn't completely confirmed him for me yet.

I too really like Chameleon. I know they can give him more depth...whether Boon says they can't or not.

Sorry but the only character worth adding as DLC in my opinion is only Rain. If Motaro makes it, have him be unplayable. He was pretty weak in MK Armageddon and Chameleon & Khameleon are just templates of all ninjas. I never played with them, they are cheap to me.

This. Although i dont find them cheap, its just boring to play with a character that just borrows the other character's moves. Thats why i hated Kreate A Fighter, barely any of the moves were original.

Like it was said previously in this thread...we are more than likely to see all these characters return in future games, I just hope their character development improves =) I think Boon chose to include the more iconic and popular MK1 - 3 characters in this game to be safe...he probably take risks of returning/remaking the less popular or known characters and including newer ones in the future once the franchise is back on track.

My first thought was **** Khameleon/Chameleon! But then I started thinking about how they made Reptile and Ermac into unique characters. If they make these two into unique characters with their own design and fighting style then I'd be all for it.

Exactly.
Think about it.
When you first faught Reptile at the bottom of the MK 1 Pit, he had Scorpion and Sub Zero's moves combined.
In MK II they made him unique, giving him his own moves and Fatalities.

I don't see why they can't give Chameleon / Khameleon the same character treatment.
