Most Honorable Warriors

Look I'll tell you why I picked my guys

Liu Kang-Pretty obvious, fights for good, justice, etc.

Sub-Zero-Fights honorably, especially during the battle with the Tarkatens in his MKD ending

Shao Kahn-None of his fights were admirable but you gotta love his never give up attitude

Forget about Goro and Scorpion. I don't know what I was thinking.

This is a good question. I'd say:

Sub-Zero
Scorpion
Lui Kang/ Kung Lao
Goro
Kitana
Mavado

That's the order that I'd put them in.

I'm envios of you guys so I'm putting my reasons too.

SZ: He fights for Earthrealm, to save his clan, and restore his brothers honor. Not much thats more honorable than that.

Scorp: He fights to avenge his family, and his death. Even if at first he was misguided, that's still honorable.

LK/KL: I'm not even giving an explaination. This one is a given ;)

Goro: He fights for the safety and advancement of his race. He fights for the honor of the Shaolin Tournament, and the Honor of his lord Shao Kahn. Even if he's evil, that's still honorable.

Kitana: She's a princess fighting to save her realm. 'nuff said.

Mavado: He seems pretty honorable, at least a lot more so than his counterparts in the other dragon clan. Even though he goes underhanded, signing a deal with the DA, he still seams to me honorable. Wow, didn't really explain that well :?

If Li Mei's MK:D ending was gonna be true, she'd betray her friends to fight for the Dragon King. I think that may end up being true but with him loosing instead of winning.
Well we arn't sure if the ending was right,if it was that means that she's a bitch 8) 8)

Shoa Kahn - dishonable things:

-Posioned Onaga (posioning is not honable and a cowards method of killing)
-Enslaved a lot of people
-tortured peeps
-Took souls.
-Conquered realms
-had to use Shang's magic to enslave Shindel to force her to be his wife.
-Killed the previous king
-Had Kitana brainwashed.
-demands tributes (or die) from his servents.
-Is evil.
-If there wasn't a tornement in the way would have conquered and enslaved earth realm.

I could go on theres like a dozen more things. He is properly, the most disahonable person. Though most of his dirty work is not done by him I might add. He does however encourage dishonorable things and would love to how you beg before him before he killed you.

Mavado left Kabal to die and stole his hookswords... I admit thats the only unhonable thing I can think of, but then again, he didn't really get introduced much to the story. But from what we do know, they are everything the black dragon are not so he is properly honorable. He is properly one of the most honorable of the bad guys.

I still question Goro being honorable though. If the tournement rules weren't there we would properly have witnessed a bloodfest.

Goro did kill the great kung lao (1st one) but they fought both with honor.

As for the honarable people thing, i say Scorpion, becuase instead of murdering the young Sub-Zero he became Subby's guardian to atone for killing the elder sub-zero (Now noob-saibot)

Technically, I don't think the endings involving him becomming a guardian aren't cannon, because his MK4 one where he attacked Sub-Zero, and ends up in the Netherrealm with Quan Chi disproves it and has been proved to be cannon. But to each his own I guess.

Yea but theres a little problem with scorp. Every time someone tells him they can grant him life he is gulible in beleiving them i mean IF you were him how would you feel? i mean if someone told u can see your family again after you died im pretty sure you'd do anything for that.

what do you mean by honorable. Ermac doesn't seem honorable to me

Read hid MK:D bio.
And where we can find the honor in that?Just cause someone free'd him doesn't mean that he's honorable

ARG! Like I said READ HIS MK:D BIO.

It explains who h attemps to atone for his past sins and aids the spirit of Liu Kang.

Sub-Zero: fights for the honor of his clan. restored it to it's humanity. helped save earth numerous times, quests for knowledge of his lineage.

Scorpion: fights for honor of his clan. to avenge the deaths of his family. never say die attitude. chosen by the gods.

Kung Lao: fights for family honor. fought for the honor of his "brother" liu kang. sticks to the discipline of the monks

Cyrax: rediscovered his humanity, and joined an honorable cause.

Goro: fights for his race and his emperor. displays loyalty

Sonya Blade: hunts down black dragon/red dragon without relent, promoted to general. head of special forces outworld investigations.

Goro is an honarble becuase pretty much most things he does are honorable to his master or his race not mattering if its evil or not.

Exactly. Goro fights for his race. I doubt he really cares about Shao Khan.

Well that is what making him an honorbal warrior, plus he don't give a damn about khan,he already turned against him with kitana

Loyalty and honor mean two different things. You can be loyal and not honorable (Goro).

how many times are you gonna harp on this definition of honor thing?

im sorry but, people keep using goro and kahn etc. as examples. so whether you are right or wrong i dont think it matters much, besides im pretty sure thats like the third time you've mentioned it.

Yes, that was third time. This is the fourth and last time.

I don't mean to tick people off, but I don't see eye to eye on some peeps on certain characters. You can be honorable and evil but there aren't really many characters when you look at them closely that are that. So one more time and then thats it::P

Anyone who-

-murders out of cold blood (baraka, Shinnok, Kano),
-steals souls(Shang, Kahn),
-maims on purpose (shang),
-betrays(most of the evil characters in general +female characters)
-disrespects(Kano)
-backstabs(Q-chi, Tanya)
-exploits(Kahn + many of the evil characters)
-Enslaves (Onaga, Kahn)
-succumbs to greed (All of the above)

Can not call themsleves honable, tortures. Notice that these characters I listed above have at some point have done just that, or had someone else do it for them?

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=honor

There. Now I shut up about the defination of honor.

That should please you guys. Its a bit difficult to tell certain chracters though I might add because you don't know fully who did what sometimes. But if you read there what if endings you can get an idea of what they'd do if they had the chance.

I'm adding Fujin to my list of honorable warriors. He spent centuries guarding a amulet with his fellow elemental Gods. Then when Shinnok turned up joined Raiden to be the only God we've seen doing anything to help.
