Figured I might as well post this:

It's not really much, I just hand-drew the silhouettes.

Just thought I'd add this drawing to this post. No need to start a new thread. It's a REALLY rough draft of a painted mural I'm doing for my Uncle's room.

It's supposed to go along with the Fan-Fic I'm writing. Comments?

The structures of the bodys and faces are nice and stuff, and the overall idea is pretty cool too. Only thing I'd recommend is switch positions of Scorpion and Sub-Zero. It looks like you're trying to make a flame there, but if sub-zero was behind that flame it would probably confuse people into thinking that there're two Scorpions.

Edit: Or you could just make the flame blue, that'd work too.

My daughter wants to know how to activate the costumes she has acquired for the characters on Mortal Kombat? She wants to be able to fight other opponents with them. She has them saved in her Krypt but can't use them. We have the x-box! How can we use the characters with the bought saved costumes? Please help!! My e-mail is dinozone88@yahoo.com!! Tag the header if you send it to my e-mail so that i won't delete please. Thankyou Mortal Kombat old school player from the days of SEGA. And i love my daughter.

Wrong place for this, buddy. And I mean it couldn't be any wronger a place for this. We have sections specifically for discussing particular games, and actually, you could find an answer in existing threads as your question has been asked before. However, your answer is in the Shoutbox.

By the looks of things, the faces of Sub-Zero and Quan Chi are actually in the flame. It's a good effect, but I probably wouldn't put Sub-Zero in there, for the reason Prophet stated. Switching the two wouldn't make sense because it's a flame, not ice. I'd go with using someone else in there, Shao Kahn? Scorpion needs to stay where he is because he's a good parallel for Spawn.
You getting better at this.

very cool, although if i could draw nearly as well id sub the other ninja with ermac and still work with the flames. great concept though. when is the fic gonna be ready

I'm guessing Sub-Zero and Quan Chi were chosen because they have impacted Scorpion the most since the start of the series.

The MK intro is already up in the writing section. Still working on the Spawn portion, though.

CORRECTOMUNDO! I just thought the Redeemer was a better parallel for Sub-Zero and the clown is a servant of Malebolgia and Quan Chi is a servant of Shinnok... So... If you think about it just a LITTLE more, it makes perfect sense!

Spawn and Subby are very well done, Clown needs more definition, I could barely tell who he was at first. I'd have either shrunken him or widened the red flame/aura thing a bit perhaps to make more of his hairdo visible. Up close and personal like that Clown doesn't lend himself well to the monochromatic scheme. Scorpions pose is sort of awkward, and I'm not quite sure what you were going for with it, but he's pretty well drawn nonetheless.

As for the original post, the silhouette idea is fine and would look pretty cool if only the background were more detailed. I'm not even sure what I'm looking at there. Appears to be just a bunch of crude shapes and stars against a solid blue mat. The fire is pretty cool. The MK logo and McFarlane's name look pretty good, but I'd have tried to add some sort of shadow or perspective to the letters and such, because they're a bit plain as is. "Spawn", the word, is arguably the worst aspect of this pic. It looks conspicuously freehand and rough edged. Whatever technique you used to incorporate the other words into the picture should have been applied to "Spawn" as well to keep a uniform look.

Both are very creative pieces. Your digital art skills need development, but your hand drawn art is far superior. I'm sure you'll continue to improve as all artists do. You have the creativity, and the ability.

Well yeah, you're Scorpian does look like a MacFarlane creation, The Disturbed Guy, is that what you were going for? Very good if you were. Love Redeemer Vs Subbers.

Even more stuff! This time, we have...

Redeemer vs Sub-Zero (Colored)

Scorpion vs Spawn and Sub-Zero vs Redeemer (Inks)

Scorpion vs Spawn and Sub-zero vs Redeemer (Colored)

these more recent posts are really good man. i love your spawn-style-scorp. and the most recent post begs the question, "who would win?" the undead? or the spawn of hell?

Whoa Snow. You're artwork improved so much in the 2 months I've been away...good grief. Did you take lessons or something? Those last few drawings are incredible. I particularly like Redeemer vs. Sub-Zero. Though I though the Redeemer was blue and gold...or has he been re-cast again?

I honestly did nothing more than practice. I'm glad it payed off! :)
About the Redeemer, that is actually his original costume, I just prefer to draw it more than the newest one, for the sake of simplicity. Be on the lookout for a new Raiden vs Man of Miracles drawing!
