Mortal Kombat & New Silver Xbox Controller thoughts

The streetfighter fightpads work great & you can pick them up a lot cheaper than the transforming pad. Only problem is that the 360 one is wired.
 
It works fine for me, better than the standard controller. Seems a bit pricey, but what are you gonna do? I noticed better accuracy immediately after transformation
 
hay guys looking to buy a new xbox should i buy a new xbox or a used one my last one just

broke and really looking get for the third gears (the only reason i have an xbox) what else is good about it.

i am a ps3 fan boy but i love the gears look i've liked it sense urt dont think i'm trying to bash any of you i really wanna know.

I have this controller and I use it with MK all the time and it's far superior to the standard 360 controller. Everytime I use the Standard now I get frustrated because it's not meant for fighting games and it doesn't work the way it should.
I highly recommend the transforming D-pad controller for MK players.

I personally think that the new Xbox 360 controller's D-Pad is really good, especially for the new MK. But, the first one I bought, I twisted the D-Pad so it will pop out more (yes, it gives you the ability to do that, I'm not crazy, lol.) and the D-Pad broke instantly. I returned it and bought another one and I've had it for 2 months now and it works perfectly fine. Of course, I haven't twisted the D-Pad yet, lol. Oh, and I bought mine for $54 at Gamestop. It also comes with a Play-N-Charge, which is a pretty sweet deal, imo.
 
I have it I would say go buy one. The D-pad is much better then the standard xbox controller. Either way its rotated its much more precise :D
 
I have the transofrming d pad bought it specificly for mk9 I had it weeks before the game shipped LOL. it works 100% better than the standard 360 controller. my only complaint is it squeeks!
 
My summation is: better than the standard controller, but still not just an awesome controller.

If you don't need another controller, I'm not sure I would justify buying this just for the improved d-pad. But if you need another controller anyway, it's definitely worth the few extra bucks to get this one.

It won't instantly change your game and turn you into a great player, but it will give you less frustrating moments.
 
I had the rotating d-pad until two days ago when, during an online match, the cross snapped off and broke. Now I have no d-pad at all. I loved it until this happened, but now I'm not sure if I'll get another one because the plastic seems kinda brittle. Keep in mind I'm from Australia so I've only had the game for about a week and prior to this I hardly used the d-pad at all.

I have taken a knife to my standard controller and made it a bit better though, ala this guy, who just happens to like shit music:
