I don't like his expression, agree with previous opinion about that.
And Kano looks stretched compared to the original.
 
Even kano looks inocent i think. He seem practizing not ready for fight at his stance pose.

You couldn't really see his face in the original. I'd recommend adding rinkled cloth texture to his pants which deform like cloth but not the same as the gi kano wore.
 
May be expression wasn't noticeable, but it's what everyone expect from criminal.
And it's really funny to show blurred image as evidence.

Look cal, lol. I don´t need to trust only from the original sprites for i guess and get an idea how kano should to be in his expresion.

Include at the comic bio of kano that have been made by jhon Tobias, it give to everyone how kano is going to be in his emotional faces. Kano is a ´fn unkind criminal and terrorist, and prolly you can see the same on kano bio and ending from mk1 original game. Suddenly I am agreed with le@n.

So , kano have in his face emotions like contempt, narcisisim, defiance, fury, surivival, full of negativity and few stubborn emotions lol , i have done a litle modification from cris ´ s render just in the last frame:

That said, Kano's looking awesome.

I think you did a great job figuring out the motion in the bio animation.
The thing that I find the most different is the framing.
In the final frame of the original, Kano takes up about 90% of the height of the frame, while in yours it's more like 60%.

And about the fighting stance, there's something weird going on with his fists.
Namely, I'm not seeing the gap between his fingers reaching the bend where his knuckles are.
Maybe it's the light or something. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

In either case, fantastic work.

I think you fixed the fighting stance by adding the facial details of him frowning. But I maintain his outfit is too flat looking. It needs lots of high frequency details stitching, wrinkles etc. which make it look like real cloth. [MENTION=15952]Cris Berserk[/MENTION] do you use zBrush? I think it needs hand sculpted normal mapping and a bump map.

Yes, I use zbrush when needed.
I'm already using normal map and a bump map what are these.

I think what's killing the attitude is the metallic part looking too neutral.

I do not know if changing the expression of the metal implant is the right thing to do, because the next animations that will have other various facial expressions.
however it was cool your update, I'll try to see.
 
Yeah I'm just not seeing enough wrinkles and details in his Gi making it look like silk and less like a cloth Gi. Maybe it could us a better color map which samples real cloth Gi parts to make it look less flat.

LOL, I really mean it man, I would like to work on something else now that kitana is like 99% done. I just don't know wich character should I work on next.... my fave from the chars missing is raiden... I was always affraid of him back in the days when I used to go to the arcades. but I just don't wanna mess with cloth, is a pain in the ...... you know where!

Well Bleed was kind enough to leave me his source file for Raiden which is already rigged up with cloth dynamics. You'll need a handful of programs though. 3ds Max 2015 + latest Vray should do it.
