Justin MK1 doesn't have the announcer say "Round 1" "Round 2" or "Round 3"

Ok everyone here is another try. I also tried some vocal effects...

Just noticed the hiccups in the audio file will fix later. And Justin the RAW file is too big to upload will have to figure something out. (raw has no hiccups or blurps)

I made those sprites a long time ago for my MKP liu Kang edit. I start with a stick figure animation, then use parts from a bunch of different sprites to build the new ones. Some parts were painted by hand if I couldn't find what I needed.

Oh man, your Liu Kang is absolutly FANTASTIC ! I can't believe my eyes ! There is so much "classic kung-fu movies" in his moves, its delicious !

I can't explain why those classic sprites (and especially as they appears in your work) seems more interesting for me than the last HD-3D MK game... MK9 would be the coolest fighting game in the world if NeitherRealm Studio asked you to work with them.

I'm a great fan of your animated work !

yah, but a remake can be with enviorments, put round anounce will be cool, like put a reptile anounce too, it's smal detail that make diference, with this detail the project can be better and more rich in detail that in the original is missing, things like this can be very cool and don't make a remake worse than the original, or in case of MK 1.5 the voices can be added and it'll be done

They can be recorded for MK1.5.

I don't mean to bit*h about anything cos you guys are doing a great job and all, but there are just these two things that annoy me... First of all, the hands on ninja model are way too stretched (this is noticeable in Sub-Zero's stance and during his fatality animation where it gets more than obvious that the hand is alarmingly disproportional. Just compare it to his head). I don't think this should be too hard to correct. Also, regarding the gameplay, I totally support the idea of not messing with it, but I feel that certain hit-boxes should be slightly altered. I specifically had in mind uppercuts and high kicks. Fighters should definitely have anti-air attacks that actually work which was not the case in the original game. One of you guys draw a comparison with Street Fighter 2 HD by saying that Capcom didn't make changes to gameplay but that's not true. SF HD has certain frames and hit-boxes significantly altered and even some new moves added (Ryu's empty fireball, Bison's fake sweep, etc.). Since MK1 is almost as good as useless in vs department, I honestly believe that these slight alterations I propose can only make the game better. There, these are my two cents... I wish you guys consider them. All the best!

I know, the hands were a problem to set up, it's hard to fix on the model after it's been rigged. It's something that has to be right from the start, but I didn't notice at the time, only later when I tried making certain poses. It's strange, because I actually used a real hand as the reference for the model, pretty much traced it. I'm not sure where it went wrong, but I know they are messed up.

The skeleton UVs are done, I'll start on textures soon.

Bad link Justin. Can you repost?

WUT?! Lame. Sorry about that.

Here's the working link. Again, the first voice is the original. The following four are me. Scorpion usual has a fair bit of modulation on his voice, which I went very easy on here so that the actual performance can be heard. I can always add more echo/reverb/chorus later to give it more of that surreal MK vibe.

@Bleed, those are some nice looking bones ya got there. :)

I liked it! editing the voice, and a more aggressive synthesizing, will be very good! mater as faithful to the original!

Yeesh. I just gave that edit I did of Psylense's voice over a listen on my good speakers and what a difference. My edit needs a bit of work. I'll prolly upload another edit tonight.

What do you guys think about keeping the Announcer voice a little cleaner than the original?

I see many of you guys working on Liu Kang. As I recall, he was supposed to have the word 'Otomix' written on his pants, but that was removed in fear of lawsuit. I think it would be nice to have this text visible in MK HD. It would go well over Liu Kang's otherwise overly simplistic design.

A little cleaner is cool..too clean is not in my opinion.

That scorp recording is a keeper along with most of you Lui Kang sfx. Also nailed the upper cut sound.

Thanks Cal. I want to keep working on the uppercut though. I think I can do better. :)

About the Announcer, I'll try to find a good balance between the two. I'll prolly end up posting several examples and you guys can decide how much dirtiness you want.

EDIT:

Ok, here's a comparison between the original announcer file and Psylense's. The first voice is the original, followed by three different edits of Psylense's voice. See what you guys think.
