Mortal Kombat downloading update error tripple beap crash

No! don't worry it's not your PS3. The problem is that when MK loads it immediately starts accessing your hard drive, if you update at that time the PS3 turns off to keep the data from corrupting. So all you have to do is when you fire up MK wait for the update prompt but don't push anything. look at your PS3 you'll see a little orange light blinking as soon as it stops you can push X to update and it'll work perfectly...
 
this actually happened to me wth every update all u have to do is wen the update thing comes up cancel it and it will sign u out then wen ur in main menu go to online and it will tell u to sign in, then sign in and it will automatically start dwnloading the update
 
The reason the game is crashing, and a lot of games will do this is because you don't have a saved game on the hdd. Meaning load the game all the way into the menu without your internet, then quit the game reconnect the internet, and reload the game. It should update fine now that it found a profile to update. Certain games when updating can't seem to write a new profile on your HDD. Hope this helps.
