Smoke/Sektor/Cryax - Predator
Kobra - Ken (Street Fighter)
Blaze - The Human Torch (Fantastic Four)
Raiden - Lighten Guy (Big Trouble in Little China)
Kano - Terminator
Johnny Cage - Van Damme
Stryker - Bruce Willis (Die Hard)
Mavado - El Mariachi (Desperdao)
 
I know That Lee Wulong from Tekken looks alot like Jackie Chan.

Sorry about that, I felt like doing something random at this particular second.

Sub-Zero - Ice man (X-men)
Reptile - The Lizzard (Spider-man) Killer Croc (Batman)
Kung Lao - Mariachi guy w/ a sumbraro
Scorpion - Ghost Rider
Sub-Zero/Scorpion/(human)Reptile/(classic)Rain/(classic)Ermac/(classic)Noob/(human)Smoke - Friggin Power Rangers LOL!
 
We're not talking about characters that just resemble MK characters, like Ice-Man with similar powers...but things that could have inspired the MK characters. Ice Man may have ice powers but he couldn't have inspired much more than that, i mean he's not a ninja or anything. And remember Reptile was in human form LONG before he was lizard-like so he couldn't have been inspired by the lizard or killer croc. I have never hard of this mariachi guy so yea...Scorpion, nothing like ghost rider. Not a biker, not a ninja, just has a flaming skull. As for the power rangers thing...I think not.

My own theories:
Jax - Mike Tyson
Kenshi - Numerous blind samurai movies and stories
Nightwolf - Check out your average floor show at an indian casino
Sheeva - Shiva

Not so fast,man! yes, Ghost rider does have the flaming skull and rides a motorcycle AND isn't a ninja...BUT he also uses his chain very similarly to scorpion.

and why do seniors like DC spoil all the fun?

We don't spoil the fun, we try to keep these message boards a civil and sane place to chat about something we enjoy.

Most Admins of forums this large can't handle the load solely, so a few members with integrity that aren't mods will attempt to keep the forums from going absolutely batty. Especially since the admins have a life outside of these forums as well.

Remember that Bandwidth costs, $ and the more space a forum takes up, the more bandwidth it uses. So continuous new threads that rehash the same all droll topics basically cost the admins money out of thier pocket (or it's made from ads) so you can have a free forum.

So some of us "senior" members feel obligated to protect the admins and their site since we do enjoy coming here, and that means setting a n00b or two straight every once in awhile, or quite often.

As long as you remember that DCR > joo, you'll get along just fine ;)
 
And, above all, remember that Sapphire > DCR > SK1LLZ THAT K1LLZ (K1LLKANO) > Everyone else, we'll all get along just dandy.
