Mortal Kombat Adventure Game already in the works!

Shaolin Monks 2 next gen would be awesome. To be honest, Shaolin Monks was one of the best MK games in a long time and i loved it. I beat it like 8 times and bought the game twice. So i hope its similar to shaolin monks.
 
Being a big fan of Shaolin Monks, I'll really look forward to a new Kombat adventure game, but I won't be getting my hopes up any time soon. With the state that Midway is in at the moment, this new game could easily get scrapped and forgotten about.
 
It's been said even in the MKasts as something that may or may-not be in the works. The unknown is really how far along it is, or how long it'd take.
 
I can't wait! Shaolin Monks was what got me back into MK about 2 years ago when Armageddon was in the works.
 
shaolin monks is awesome.. i like it a lot, if there is no 2nd part it would mean their shit...

they could make something like mk mythologies, but better ofcourse ;)
 
Lets see, recalling the old interviews:

-One of the adventure games I can't remember
-Quan-Chi is on their list of adventure games
-A step into the future... Another step into the future.

Something like that. I'm reposting this because its about the only hint to the next MK adventure game we have. Don't expect MK:SM 2 guys...
 
This must be the REAL Version Of Konquest From Deception. Konquest with Shujinko must be the BETA of this game. Lets just hope It has somthing to do with Scorpion,Raiden,Tsueng Shung(however you spell it) And Liukang. Cuz Liu kang needs Revenge on Him. I hope this is the sequel to Showlen Monks! Because monks was AWESOME!

I would love to see a new adventure game, especially if it's just a longer MKSM. I love that game so damn much and that's as both a regular gamer and an MK fan. In fact...mostly as a regular gamer because it ****ED with the MKII canon.
 
As much as I was surprised with MK:SM, I loved it. It really changed the MK realm, along with them konquest modes.

In stead of going 1 on 1, you were actually in the realm. It was a very good idea and when it was released I really hoped they would bring another adventure game to us.

They do not have to make a 2nd MK:SM but maybe the could focus on other characters. A few of the ninja's or Shang Tsung & Quan Chi.... A couple of Tarkatans (with Baraka leading them)...

I hope it makes it to the end...

I agree. There are simply tons of characters and story lines that could be played with to make on entertaining adventure game. Unfortunately there are only a few (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Liu Kang and a few others) that would be popular enough to sustain a game of their own. As much as I'd love to see the likes of Reptile or Kano starring in their own game, it wouldn't happen because they are just not popular enough too sell.

shaolin monks
konquest modes of mka and mk deception

combine that with

streets of rage and some experience stuff
good story line

lots of action
mmorpg feeling online yet at the same time co op and a stand alone story

if so at least the way i see it. ittl be the best game ever made in whole life and shit
 
I'd like to see a story in the epic style of Mythologies since one thing that game CANNOT be faulted on is its story and characters. But the gameplay from Shaolin Monks was phenominal. Most action beat-em-ups these days just copy God of War (with good reason) but MKSM adapted the MK fighting style with special moves and linked combos to an adventure setting. What's more, the free-style combos of MKSM allowed for so much replayability and variety of moves that I just couldn't stop.

It's all about the fighting in an adventure beat-em-up like MKSM. If combat gets boring quickly then you're not going to want to keep playing for very long. But quite the opposite was true of MKSM, in fact, I wanted to keep playing after the game was over. This one needs to be longer! Or at least have DLC in a few months of release.
