Anyways MK1 $10 "classic" skins.... I didn't think they could top X or 11 with this, but they did. They're classic only in name... and cost an arm and a leg.

The designs themselves are just atrocious, disregarding all inaccuracies... DAFUQ is that Nitara costume supposed to be? It's just pure shit... it's like an AI generator shitting out random designs. It's like Stevie Berran can't make up his fetishist mind already.

I am getting a feeling, that we are seeing Midway 2.0 happening. WB is in serious deep shit right now. They are scrapping movies left and right, not just cause, but they are seriously trying to save as much money as possible.

Some people could say, it is just pure greed. But with all the financial losses they have suffered recently, these guys need every cent they can get. Barbie success has been countered by numerous other shitty and VERY expensive releases.

Overall WB looks like it doesn't have any idea what to do with its IPs.

And damn are they doing an amazing job at ruining MK brand too.

Well besides Barbie, It's not like any of their recent movies have made any real money. The DC universe has done nothing but sink them further in debt. Blue Beetle, Black Atom, The flash, and Shazam fury of the gods all failed to turn a profit. Batgirl would have met the same fate so It's no surprise to see them try to squeeze every last cent they can out of MK fans.

Well to be honest, they had Hogwarts Legacy help them out as well. But once again. This is no different from Midway situation. They had couple of titles, that made them money, but they were sinking in such massive debts, that not even MK 3D Era sales could save them.
 
I was talking about the movies not games but like I said before...for every Harry Potter/Mortal Kombat success. There's a Gotham Knights/ suicide squad kill the justice league to offset that success. It does explain why WB are going the Gaas route with MK1 but unless they stick to just mobile Onslaught shit I doubt It's going work out for them.

This right here is a great example of NuMK designs.... $10 plz.... they can't even display colors properly, essentially scamming people by promising something different.
 
So far, Tremor is the only thing I bought outside of the base game, and even then I had about $10 in MS rewards that I claimed and added to my account, so he technically was "free" for me. Everything else in this game was grinded for and thanks to the level 56 trick in the Seasonal Towers, leveling up characters to 31 for those additional Krystals was a breeze. Got Tremor to level 15 by doing the Seasonal Tower a couple ot times with each fight netting me 9,600+ XP. Lol

It really IS a shame that the SP stuff is pretty limited / repetitious crap in MK1, because the actual fighting gameplay in the game is otherwise pretty solid. I don't play online much, but the Towers, 1vs1 and 1vsCPU are all very well done.
 
I haven't purchased any of the DLC but Is it just me or does Tremor's armor Kameo look like a copy paste of sub zero's ice armor Kameo?

Tremor's armor in that variation (Crystalline) works in the same way but for physical hits.
As in, with it on you can't get knocked down or thrown, whereas for Sub-Zero's ice armor it's JUST for projectiles.

I honestly haven't messed with him too much as I'm just trying to get all of the characters to level 31, but I should have all of my remaining characters to level 31 by tomorrow and then mess with Kameo Tremor some more. The Crystalline one seems pretty cool, though, as aside from the armor you can also reflect back projectiles to the opponent. So, a good kameo option if you happen to face someone who likes to spam projectiles.
 
Don't care about those, personally.
Just waiting for Li Mei's Deception skin to come back around and then after that I'll sit on the other 2,100 Krystals that I've saved up until something else comes around.
I ain't paying for cosmetic shit in this game if I don't have to.
Even Tremor came out to be free for me. Lol
 
Begging for awards is sooo AAA trillion dollar franchise behaviour. Plus... game of the year? Best soundtrack? Best story? Most innovative gameplay?...

Cheezus fookin crispy is this "game" fooked in every possible way. Over few days I got flooded with MK1 news... You just CAN'T justify ANYTHING in this "game". At this point MK1 looks like an early access game.

The gameplay, though, is really damn fun.......and that's probably the ONLY thing that I will defend about this game.
I level up all my characters to 31 already in Invasions (and probably won't ever touch Invasion mode ever again after that) and I was genuinely labbing more, doing 1vs1 matches with friends and the fighting itself is really solid.
Sucks that for the most part MK1 fails in other aspects, though.
 
...But Ed Boon himself was coming on stage, yelling how "it'll all make sense", "this game took 4 years to develop", "SO MUCH CONTENT BIGGER THAN KRYPT"?
 

Quan Chi looks fun as hell to play as and Khameleon seems.....interesting.
Just hoping she's not rng like back in the day.
If it's anything like kameo Tremor where you can choose the variations for Khameleon then I'll be fine with that.

I guess the silver lining of this bullshit costume situation is Mortal Kombat finally has decent costume mods


Before MK1 the best we could get was "Spiderman colored Scorpion"
 
MK9 had mesh mods for a long time now..... pretty sure those tools got repurposed for mk12.

I'm still having a blast in MK9

MK9 Derptile is peak Reptile. They definitely took time with this character, at least when it comes to balancing, clearly defined strengths and weaknesses.... unlike schmucks like Cyrax. His biggest problem are all the bugs that constantly neuter him, because Ed Boon cannot into programming.
