MK9 glitch thread

Sub Zero has that move where he hits you with two palms and freezes you. It's something SZ players do in resets or if they have you cornered.

As you know, CSZ has an ice parry which if it connects, causes him to momentarily freeze them and then hit them with an ice sword. If you perform a ice parry on wake up as SZ does his palm move, you will freeze him entirely, leaving him free to attack without that parry sword move.

And im pretty sure I didn't perform a EX parry.

There's been a couple of times I have performed a parry and for certain moves, it completely imobilises the opponent, rather than perform the parry animation.

Cyrax can't be fixed but im fine with him now. He is what he is. There is far more lame shit in this game like Sub Zero and Kitana to worry about Cyrax and his big combos. Besides, Mustard has said there is way more to Cyrax than big combos.

There is way more to him. That's why adding 90% resets to an already deep character is ridiculous.
 
I used to hate Cyrax but I actually enjoy fighting against him now. A fight against a GOOD Cyrax, of which, believe it or not there aren't many, is a challenge about how well you meter manage. I always try and have two bars for a breaker, i'll waste a bar if im sitting on a X Ray but I do agree, he doesn't need that damage.

I mean, look at CSZ....you can throw a bomb, divekick, stun your opponent, njp, U4, slide. Very simple, but it does a whopping 43% damage. I mean Freddy has big damage, but you usually need meter for that stuff.

Most characters are capable of big damage, but anything over 55% is in the OP territory. I know Sheeva has a 53% midscreen combo that only needs one bar.

also a little birdie just told me that some of the reset (if not all of them ) have been fixed.

So hope fully when we get a patch list this thread will be no more.

Sindels scream reset still works.

Removing all resets is unecessary.

I don't approach Cyrax like you do. I burn all my meter no matter what character I am to deal huge damage back any chance I get. I can make 1 BIG mistake. and several little ones.

I make Cyrax wtf non-stop because he's expecting to be safe from your EX armor'd moves that move through his crap. The only person I save breaker for against Cyrax is Noob saibot because for obvious reasons. His EX doesn't do anything special against Cyrax minus the occasional EX upknee.

The scream is guaranteed and starts a whole new combo? as in it'll be like

3 hits (Blarg%) then scream ---> 6hits (Finish blarg %)

if it's all one big long combo it's not a reset lol. Like sonya's kiss, is used to make your opponent stand again so you can continue combo'ing on the ground. But it still is part of the combo and takes shaved damage.
