MK movie

I think they did pretty well with the first MK movie. The costumes were very well designed. Notable actors like Wilson, Lambert, and Tagawa. The special effects were subtle enough not to go overboard. If I saw the earth mortals such as Johnny Cage, Sonya, etc throwing fireballs in every fight, I probably would've had a harder time enjoying the movie.

The second movie was just corny in appearance and acting.

I'd like to see MK2 redone. Or MK4. If they could get a decent director, damn good script, and established actors.

I think if they did MK3 or MKD/DA/A, it would just look silly. Some of the characters and costumes alone are just too far fetched to be a serious motion picture.
 
I think MKM would make a good movie. Hell it's best points were all story and costume related. Quan Chi and Shinnok have simply never looked as good since. It was John Tobias' game and we all know he was the story man. It's got the visual appeal, the story, the characters, and the intrigue to make a good film.
 
i think deadly alliance- armageddon would work very well. the story is very developed, and every character has their own personal tales and goals but they all interconnect and tie into the main plot.(with the exception of armageddon, but of course i guess the director could just make stuff up) ill elaborate more on this later i gotta go
 
If a good director, decent actors , modern-day graphics and a nice filming crew team up they would make one hell of a mortal kombat movie . armageddon or MKM , MKDA and even shaolin monks in my opinion would be a good subject .
 
I'll have to agree on that MKM making a good movie, even though I think most of it was told pretty well.

I think an original story should be told, since video game movies are hard to make as is, creating an original story is much more acceptable, in my opinion..
Might I suggest a sequel to MKM, with Sub-Zero becoming Noob Saibot and his life from there, or maybe even one that focuses on the second Sub-Zero?

...why do I have a feeling that if they make an original movie like a sequel, a bunch of stupid uneducated fans will b1tch and wine about how it isn't "canon" and how it "doesn't follow the real story"....?
 
if they do make a movie , people ( excluding the fans and the people who have a good background about MK ) wouldn't watch because they wont know what the hell is going on and who the hell are the damn characters , unless they make a movie about a game that could be a portal for them to enter the world of MK , like MKM . because it revolves about sub-zero and not a whole roster with each character and his own storyloine and ending .
