Hmm, that's interesting indeed, we can clearly see he's sitting on a throne of sort, and the background seems outworldish in my opinion, but still i doubt that's Kahn..and right before that there's footage of the flesh pit as far as i can tell, no idea :D time will tell.

Edit: Nvm, that's clearly Shang Tsung, i watched more of the trailer and right before that you can see the flesh pit, after this scene we get an image of mileena and someone else bowing down to someone and the screen cuts to the one on the chair/throne in the same dark place.

Well considering it explains the events leading up to the tournament in MK1 I'd assume it would. Since ST, and Goro ruled the tournaments prior to it.

From what I have heard Kahn is in the web series. I can't confirm where I have heard this. But that throne is making think it is Kahn but looks nothing like him.LoL
 
That was pretty impressive, a good way to start things off. Amusing that Kano flies into the "Eye Protection" area during that fight with Jax. A bit cheesy, but still entertaining to tie everything together. I'll be intrigued how they pull off the Outworld characters.
 
About the trailer; looks really nice. Quan Chi..I like him this way, he looks slick and evil. Scorpion, I'm diggin his outfit and mask..tough I think what we have seen is pre death..hence the talk with quan chi afterwards (and is that ice covering his face?). So I think Scorpion might change somewhat during the series.
if that is baraka..lol...never knew he was a Ork. Looks like the actor that played him in the rebirth trailer is now Cyrax, the cyber ninja's looked cool..tough I wouldn't mind if they made the costumes slightly different from the game, it looks like a perfect replica.
Also liking that they not made Mileena look like a monster, but a twin sister with a scar that makes her hate Kitana. Kano looks like Terminator..but I can't imagine a better way to do this, diggin it sofar.
All in all...it's looking good...can't wait for this.

About the first episode; Damn that is really short...still nice tough. Diggin Kano..looks/acts like a real scumbag. We already saw Sonya and Jaxxx..they did a cool job. Action was on point with some nice bloody moments. The police briefing was a bit cheesy, Jaxxx saved it somewhat. A cool first warm up episode.

I ended falling asleep, damn the human body and its need for sleep!!! lol

But I just caught it and I was pretty impressed, im definitely looking forward for the next one.
 
I really wasnt expecting for the first episode to be that good!!!!!! It just blew my expectations!!!!!!! As for the trailer, everything looks to be in the perfect place :) I cant wait for the next set of episodes!!!!!!!!!! As a quick sidenote isnt that Sindel at 0:56? I cant think of anyone else who that might be...Anyways, I really can't wait to see the rest of these episodes, play the game next tuesday, and hope that all this will eventually lead to a feature film!!!!!!!

Just watched the first episode, and I'm really impressed with it. My only real problem was I didn't realize the other guy was Stryker until Kano mentioned him coming with Jax. Cannot wait for the next episode!
 
Thought it was ok. Since this is the "pilot" episode it should've been better. Should've been more fighting and more epicness. Just kinda looked like a regular action movie with MK references. Cool that Tahmoh Penikett is Stryker though. I liked the special effects!

The new trailer on the other hand was awesome! It looks very promising. I hope we get to see alot of JC fights cause Matt Mullins is a beast. Michael Jay White is also very good.
 
As a fan, I like it cause its the best live action mortal kombat we've seen. With that being said, there were some really cheesy parts in the dialogue that most videogame films suffer from. They really need to fix this if they want to make a GOOD film. Overall, that was the only flaw I can really pick at considering this director put this whole project together in less then 4 months. Imagine what he could do in 2 years like most movies are given and have better special effects to work with. Love the fact that he's sticking with the actual storyline as well and can't wait to see the rest (especially the scorpion and subzero fight).
 
I don't like how Stryker is such a potty mouth. More fight, less f***. Other than that, good show Doctor Kevin. This redeems you after that crappy Fame movie my sister forced me to watch.
 
I liked the episode! I am really excited about how they used Jax and Sonya actors from Rebirth. But because of the trailer it won't be that realistic like Rebirth because of new version of Baraka and the phrase "from different worlds". In Rebirth Baraka is a mad surgeon and Reptile a sick dude.
I think it's ok that they used weapons in the first episode. Do you expect a special force group like for example "Speznaz" only using their fists against criminals? It's a story BEFORE the fighting tournament so they don't need to fight without anything. I think it's ok, also because of Kano and his weapon business in MK plot.
It's a shame for MK Annihilation that a web series has better actors, setting and costumes than a movie which was a sequel of a successfull first movie!
Though some people don't like the first MK movie I am a big fan of it. I loved it as child, it's nostalgia for me. It's ok that this movie isn't really brutal.
I am looking forward to the next episodes! Cyrax and Sektor look great, Sub-Zero and Scorpion story finally gets the screen time it deserves!

Yeah, it's Stryker. Took me a bit to figure it out too. He's not a very likable character so far for me. All he does (imo) is yell profanities and shoot guns. I understand profanity can be used for artistic purposes, but Stryker's dialogue doesn't seem warranted so far. It's like the eff bombs are forced. But I can't judge a character based on one episode, so I won't. :)

Oh, and all the slow-mo made me uncomfortable.

I'm not bashing the show at all, it's got plenty of potential. I hope Johnny Cage is a smooth-talking goofball. ;)

Me too lol. For a second I was like, "Where's Stryker?" Im sure they'll show more of him, hopefully he won't drop so many F bombs and focus on just being awesome ;).

As for the Ep 1 in total, I really liked it; sure some of the slow-mo scenes seemed awkward (imo) but overall I think it was awesome!
