All you metalheads talk about hardcore metal and such. My favorite metal bands gotta be Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Unearth, Chimaira, Himsa, and Avenged Sevenfold.
 
All that stuff is more hardcore/metalcore than actually metal, but anyway, my favorite metal bands are Lacuna Coil, Fear Factory, Sepultura, and Into Eternity. I also listen to Cryptopsy, Dying Fetus, Hatesphere, The Haunted, Slayer, Grimfist, Watch Them Die, and so on and so forth. Lately I've been going through kind of a death-grind phase, that shit is awesome. There's a number of CDs I'm planning on getting once I have some money.
 
slipknot, korn, mudvayne, OLD metallica, in flames, arch enemy, otep, nine in nails, shadows fall, pantera, fear factory......... you get the idea
 
I've been listening to Kalmah a hell of alot recently,I've always liked Kalmah but never listened to them that much until recently.after listening to Imperanon I got even more into Melo-Death so I'm listening to quite alot of that.

also just checked out Noumena,pretty decent Melo-death but there's still better in Children of Bodom,Kalmah,Imperanon,Wintersun,Suidakra and a bunch of others I may or may not have heard of.

and if you were going to ask why we don't have a Metal Type fest with all real Metal or whatever,we do,it's just in Germany so I can't go,it's called Wacken Open Air Festival and some of the world's greatest Metal Bands have played there (Much better linups than ozzfest I can tell you) such as Death,Destruction,Amon Amarth,Dimmu Borgir,and a bunch more...not sure if Testement played there but I would think they have at one time...I mean,they're Thrash Gods.although I have heard of a shitty band or two playing there...like Mnemic or something like that...well..they suck so no real use mentioning them.

from you band choices though I don't really exactly think your True Metal Material man,I mean you could be sooner or later..you just have to broaden your horizons a bit more.listen to heavier stuff.go more underground..ya know...it's not like there's nothing good in mainstream,but there's alot more good stuff on the underground,see what I'm sayin'?

I'd mention all my favs but last I checked I had over 200 and the list has grown by at least about 30 since then so hhehehehehe...yeah...I listen to too many bands.
 
Anybody going to the Sounds of the Underground Tour? I know it'll be in Arizona in July. It should be awesome. Chimaira, Unearth, Norma Jean, Poison the Well, Himsa, Lamb of God, and a bunch of other kickass bands should be there.
 
i thought about it, but i think i missed the chicago show. not a big deal to me though, the only band on the bill that im a big fan of is chimaira. although i've heard a little lamb of god and himsa that sounded pretty good.

Himsa kicks ass, except the singer sounds like someone is pulling his crotch. Their gutiar is awesome though, reminds of Metallica.
 
the band that i really like r:G-unit,D12,Dr dree,eminem,usher... just kidding who listen to this crap i listen to metallica,iron maiden,godsmack,nine inch nails,megadeth well i prefer the old school like metallica and iron maiden and megadeth somethings like that

Sorry, i needed to shamelessly plug my friends awesome bands...

anyway, Suffocation, Internal Bleeding (although the current band calling themselves IB has no original members),Soilent Green, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cryptopsy, Despised Icon, Dying Fetus(the absolute rightest band on the planet), Cephalic Carnage...

As for hardcore/metalish kinda bands, gotta say the best was Dead to Fall (until they just randomly started changing members and sucking live), and the greatest band of 19 year olds out right now, The Autumn Offering. Picture vikings playing hardcore. Incredible.

Awesome band. I just got into them with Anomalies, but I'll definitely be picking up more of their stuff (if I can find it). By the way, that metalcore parody song, "Dying Will Be the Death of Me", is pure brilliance. I laughed my ass off the first time I heard it.

Also got the new Despised Icon CD not too long ago; that's a pretty good deathcore band.
 
Cephalic carnage is nuts live. The absolute tightest band besides Dying Fetus or Chicago. I dont even mosh, i jsut watch in awe.







my friends band revenance is playing a show with despised icon, aborted, and cryptopsy. Insane.

I wouldn't consider NIN metal. More industrial/darkwave-ish.

I wouldn't consider NIN metal. More industrial/darkwave-ish.

I think NIN's album Broken (right after Pretty Hate Machine) was labeled as Metal.

I seriously try not to critisize other people's tastes, but I just can't help it on this one. I really cannot understand what the hell you see in My Chemical Romance. Their lyrics and pretty much everything about them is crappy. Hell, the fact that they affiliate themselves with The Used and all the other poser bands on the Warped Tour says enough. I'm wondering why in the fuck MSI let them tour with them. They're far from the best.
 
They might have brought them along to make fun of My Chemical Romance. You know what I mean? A poser band that doesn't know its a poser driving along with MSI? It sounds like something MSI would do.

Ew, bloody ew. Just... no.

The only band I listen to that could be classified as metal is Killswitch Engage. Well, I suppose Judas Priest, too, if you wanna count them. Most of my tastes lie in classic rock or screamo, but I like what I hear when I listen to KE, so I'm definitely going to be checking out more metal bands.
