I have respect for Jaffe. I love the Twisted Metal series, and have enjoyed the God of War games...but Mortal Kombat IS NOT SoulCalibur dammit! I'm praying to the Almighty that Kratos is DLC! I have dial-up and wouldn't be able to even download him if I wanted to!

I feel your pain. I also live in East Tennessee and it took me forever to get DSL. Some of my friends still can't get it. A few have the Wild Blue Satellite Internet but I don't think it is really worth what you pay.

Wild Blue is a horrible company in all facets of its business (have frends who work / have worked for them) They dont have any other options? MotoSat, Digital Networks and the few other providers that do Satellite that I cant think of of the top of my head.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I felt this needed to be said, or at least I needed to say it...
I kinda wish they'd just cancel the new game, just because a lot of the MK "hardcore" fans are so damn ungrateful. Seriously, and this isn't pointed at anyone directly, just a few people i've seen on a few of the sites...but people complain and whine way too much when everything isn't perfect to their desires. Ed Boon has desires to do more things with MK, fun things, that fans just shit on and don't accept. They could care less what the creators of the game want and desire to include, they just want their perfect MK game wrapped in a little bow just like they like it. We've got the *****ers and whiners who rant and complain like it's the end of the world, that another VIDEO GAME(It's just a game folks, you should have much bigger shit to worry about in your life...) character is gonna make a one off appearance in their beloved game.
He's not hurting anything, he's not in the story, he's there just for those that might get a kick out of it. How do people react? "It's all about the money to them" "Kratos doesn't fit" "This game is ruined" "I am so upset right now" "Why couldn't it be used on another character" "I swear if I have to look at him on the select screen im gonna be so pissed"...Yet you let this little ****ing detail overweigh everything amazing about this game. They are handing you a ****ing 5 star meal, with everything you've ever wanted from it, after we've had meatloaf for the past few years...and you are complaining because there's ****ing a small side dish of peas included. Who gives a **** about what's included in this game that you don't like, when it has so much you DO like. I could care less if they had ****ing Barney riding Michael Jackson as horse as a playable character, IT DOESN'T ****ING MATTER. It's an extra. Does not effect the game one single bit. Has no relevance to the story in any shape or form thus it doesn't need to make sense. It's just there for the people who will like it. And although you don't like GOW or Kratos...A LOT of people do.
My point is, some "fans" are so hungup over a character inclusion they don't like...something so trivial and meaningless, that they actually turn their back on the game or act as if it takes away from the quality. Learn to be positive, optimistic, open minded...weigh your pros and cons for ****s sake...This game looks so damn good, you should want AS MANY people to play it and witness it's glory as possible. MK has a chance to be a AAA title again. Yet you selfish ungrateful bastards are freaking out because a popular character is added, that isn't a real MK character. Missing all the opportunities and bonuses that could come out of it. You don't give a shit about the game's success or others who might enjoy his inclusion, you just want it to be catered to you down to every little detail. How ****ing self centered and closed minded can you get?
I'm a fan of MORTAL KOMBAT the franchise, the game, the people behind it...I WANT it to succeed in every way possible. I want them to give me the best game they can offer, and I want everyone to know about it, and for them to make tons of money and put out merch. and make more forms of media out of it...I want it to be big again. Yet some of you get so damn snobby and picky about MK being 150,000% MK, that you fail to see the bigger picture and all the positives. Ed Boon and NRS may make some odd decisions from time to time, but it's their damn game and they are trying to make the game as fun and interesting as possible for EVERYONE. Not just us the "hardcore" fans, not just casual gamers, not just old fans, new fans...EVERYONE. They've made the game to our hopes and desires...they've blown us away and shocked us with how awesome the game looks...are you really that ****ing picky to not let others have their fun stuff too that maybe doesn't appeal to you?
Seriously...it never ****ing surprises me how some of us MK fans ****ing react. For such loyal "hardcore" long time fans...we sure as hell turn our back and bash their decisions that they make for their game, pretty damn easily. How ****ing patheticly rude, unappreciative, and ungrateful can we get? They give you 99.99% of stuff you like, and you let that .01% consume you and make you ****ing bitter.
We all know how this all plays out...you'll all end up loving the damn game regardless. You'll get over the Kratos thing and it'll be no biggie by the time the game comes out. Hell, you may just pull a 180 and like his inclusion when you actually get your hands on the game. You may not even care when it actually comes to seeing him. However, it's not about that. It's about your intital reactions and statements. Treat the ****ing team and their decisions with a little bit more respect and learn to be positive when you hear something that you don't necessarily agree with or like. In life you have to deal with A LOT of problems...if you're this affected by a little thing in a video game, I dare ask how you react when school/work/relationships etc. goes wrong...you know...the shit that matters.

It's a forum board and this is the internet...almost nobody changes their opinion or even considers the thought that they are acting a bit ridiculous. Maybe it'll just be an alternative Kratos outfit for Quan Chi. but that should not automatically remove his other alternate costume, but if this was the case that it's just a costume I wouldn't mind it too much.
