KOTH truly a blast now as originally intended (Xbox)

Last night I setup a private KOTH lobby for me and my friends. We had 5 people last night and we've done this recently with up to 6 people a few times. The game runs very well now with only the slightest input lag compared to offline play.

For anyone that gave up on the online play, there is hope. Recently I was at the point of nearly selling the game (and I bought the tournament edition). However, the latest patch absolutely made a large difference in the online play.

Just a few notes on things I've noticed.

1. We only use the normal outfits as the game will still desync often if someone uses a DLC outfit (even though we all have the DLC and updates). It sucks not being able to use DLC outfits but at least the game runs smooth when not using them.

2. We only play in private. This way we know each of our connections are solid and we don't have a random join from 10,000 miles away who will ruin our connection.

We've done this several times over the past 2-3 weeks without issue and it's truly re-kindled my love for this game. While I would love to play friends locally, it's not an option for me as I recently moved and know nobody here. If you haven't lately, give the online a go with some friends. :tee:

Was a great time last night dude. We didn't have a single desync or disconnect. The input lag seemed to be non existent towards the end. All in all it was great fun. With this new patch I've become totally hooked on MK again. Thanks to NRS for coming through with their promise of a great online experience. Now, if I can just figure out how to beat your Sub Zero everything will be perfect.

That's cool. Yet the other half of the MK playerbase(ps3 users) have been screwed yet again with 1.03 patch(released last week) which reintroduced input delay/totally dropped inputs like when the game was first released(v1.01).

Be glad xbox users are on v1.02....

Oh man that sucks. Well hopefully NRS takes care of you PS3 users and you can enjoy the type of nights we've been having in KOTH.

I agree. KotH is absolutely a blast and it's best experienced in the "MicsOnly" room.

I agree KOTH has gotten alot better, but about the desyncs with the classics, me and my buddy were getting a desync from each other ever match, but when I redownloaded all the classics even the pre order ones it seemed to clear it up.

Haha my Sub isn't that good. And apparently the answer is..............Sonya? LOL

Sorry to hear that. I actually didn't know that. Is that maybe why NRS hasn't rolled 1.03 out to the Xbox?

I will give it a shot. Thanks.

Hmmm, I've heard about this maybe clearing it up, is there any official confirmation that this is a legit work around? I've read that it worked with some people, but not all. Either way, will give it a try.
