Umm, Ermac and Kenshi really aren't all that alike besides both of them having telekinetic powers, also **** Hydro, end of story
Anyway, assuming your idea sees the light:
1. How would Scorpion, a person of Japanese descent, be able to have a child that's American like Kobra? Unless you're planning on retconning his backstory and nationality as a whole, to which I'm not a fan of at all
2. Shang Tsung was dead at the time of Deception. Quan Chi may or may not have been alive then, that depends on whether he had enough time to escape through the portal he was creating, which I personally doubt since Raiden self-destructed almost immediately afterwards but anyway. Anyway, more to the point, it's safe to assume that neither were anywhere near Earthrealm or Japan during Deception, so how would they be able to revive Kobra if they presumably aren't even anywhere near his corpse? Also, how would they even know that Scorpion is the champion of the Elder Gods? They most likely wrote off Scorpion as dead after presumably being informed that Drahmin and Moloch tossed him into the Soulnado.
3. Why the hell does Kobra have to be a ninja of all people? Why can't he just stay as a street brawler or a thug? I mean, Kobra has no reason to even be a ninja, the last thing we need is another ****ing ninja, anyway. I don't like Kobra at all and even I have to admit that Kobra could be much more unique than just filling in another color of the ninja rainbow
4. Scorpion's son died when he was young. Since we're talking about Deception, it hasn't been that long since his death. So if they resurrected him, he still would be a child or in his early-to-mid-teens most likely. Kobra is a grown man. Lastly, even if they were going to use his resurrected son to thwart Scorpion in some way, why not just use him for ransom instead? Why not do something like, "Hey, Hanzo, if you agree not to serve the Elder Gods and serve us instead, I'll give you your newly resurrected son back". That makes a lot more sense to me
5. Isn't Liu Kang an orphan in the new timeline? Wouldn't make much sense to neglect mentioning a brother in Liu Kang's backstory in MK9 only to introduce a brother later on. Besides, if you're going to do the whole relative thing, why not introduce some fathers instead, for example how about Sub-Zero's full Cryomancer father? That's actually something I would love to see; I wouldn't mind seeing more mature and seasoned warriors in MK, anyway
