That is true lol... I love both of these characters but would much rather have those pre-order costumes free... like they should be and give me UMK3 Sonya and a random character.

It's dissapointing that they're getting costumes AGAIN! I was also hoping for Sonya's MK3... or at least they should give Mileena her MK2 as well..
I just hope they're kidding about this, or they have the wrong information... let's just see what happens tomorrow.

Well we got MK3 Sektor(Ketchup) & Cyrax(Mustard) Then MK2 Smoke(Salt) & Noob(Pepper) So 4 Male Ninjas. Now my final prediction after this news is.
MK2 Kitana(Blueberry) & Jade(Lime) then
MK2 Mileena(StrawBerry) & Skarlet(Cherry)
That will be the final kostumes. 4 Male Ninja Kostumes and 4 Female Ninja Kostumes and it makes sense because Skarlet was an MK2 glitch. Which leads me to think the DLC characters follow a similar pattern 2 Males Kenshi and Rain and 2 Females Skarlet and Tanya. So if this is the pattern Tanya is the most likely to come next. Unless NRS tries to be unpredictable.

I hope there'll be at least Kiss of Death fatality (no chance for old Jade's fatal coz she didn't have her own in MK2).

Wow, this is really lame. The MK2 costumes just look like my grandma's swim suit. The MK3 ones are far superior.

Skarlet can't get a klassic outfit as a compatibility pack incentive. Why does everybody always overlook this? The incentive for people who didn't download Skarlet would be getting her klassic outfit? You'd be downloading a klassic outfit for a character you don't have. That's like downloading DLC for a game you don't have. :/
Plus, they are selling Skarlet as a new character more than they are as a rumored/glitch character. Giving her a klassic skin would confuse many casual fans.

I actually like this message. Why? Well there are two points:
1. By receiving a second classic costume the developers send a signal that everyone character will get their classics costume later. Although not for free. I presume this because NRS said on many occasions that they wanted to support this game with DLC for a very long time, three months aren't a very long time. They won't release MK10 in one year if they want to keep the level of quality therefore there are two years in which this game might and surely will receive DLC. Costumes are the easiest thing to provide. It doesn't take much time and manpower in order to create a skin.
Mark my words: In one or in one and a half year. Every character will have their classics costumes and one new alternate costume (except Mileena, she has a third alternate already). I think even characters which hadn't any classic costumes before will get one. Remember Smoke and Noob got an MK1 palette swap already!!!
And of course NRS will be making money with little effort. Theoretically creating a whole new character takes a lot more time than making a costume. And NEARLY everyone wants classics. Although some wants just new new new and new costumes, they forget that this game also has to serve as a link to the past Mortal Kombat games. I also hope for new costumes, but I think we will get them it depends on the sale of other costumes.
After getting Kitana and Jade only two UMK3 ninjas costumes are missing and then. NRS will do a second classic pack where the other kunoichis and Ninjas will get their palette swaps. If these costumes will sell well, and they will. NRS will be finally concentrating on the other non ninja costumes. By the time all ninjas will have a MK1, MK2 and UMK3 and all kunoichis will have a MK2 and UMK3 costume.
2. This is just a personal reason. I really love the MK2 kunoichi costumes more than the MK3 costumes, although I have to admit that in this game they are looking good. I hope they can redeem the plastic and prolly looking UMK3 ninja costumes. But after seeing what they already did in this game in terms of presentation I am really looking forward to the UMK3 costumes, although I hated them from the very bottom of my heart back than.
I cannot understand the hate from people. Yes I understand that many are sick of ninjas only getting costumes but remember Mortal Kombat had an Asian feeling since the very beginning and the ninjas and later the kunoichis are an integral part of the game. Therefore they deserve their old costumes. Nevertheless the costumes are free and should appeal to a majority, therefore it's obvious why the chose the ninjas and kunoichis but this doesn't mean that the other characters won't get any classical costumes. They just won't get them for free. But that's all. Either way if you have patience then you will see that the other characters will get their costumes in the end. Just wait and see.
And over all things it's a free costume!!! How many companies give away eight costumes for free?

The logic isnt hard to follow.
The first 4 free Kostumes were for Male ninjas.
Sektor(Ketchup) & Cyrax(Mustard) Smoke(Salt) and Noob(Pepper). We got those because these characters were the only ninjas left out of the 1st Klassic pack .
So I would think we'd receive 4 kostumes for female ninjas.
Assuming the news we received is correct. Kitana(BlueBerry) and Jade(Lime) get MK2 kostumes
Then the only other female ninjas will get them as well. Mileena(StrawBerry) and Skarlet(Cherry)
That would be easy to do and would cost NRS zero cash and zero development time.
Simple and easy.
Considering the pattern of 4 Male kostumes and 4 Female Kostumes. Same # for male and female characters.
I would think the DLC characters would follow said pattern 2 Males and 2 Females.
And considering Tanya is in Shao Kahns arena just like Skarlet was then she is the most likely in my opinion to be the last DLC character.
