Just buy a PSN/LIVE card and buy them via Store.

What he means is that at Gamestop, they sell a code to download the DLC directly instead of using Microsoft Points/PSN cards, adding them to your account, and then searching the XBL Game Marketplace/PlayStation Store for the DLC. What I assume you're asking is if they actually sell the Klassic DLC Pack at GameStop, to which my answer is I'm not sure. I didn't see them when I went there to buy the Escalation map pack for Black Ops. Call the GameStops near your area and ask if they are selling it.

If they do sell it, then yes it would be a code to download it directly. Hope this helps. :smile:

IMO they are both equally bad her main has her whole ass hanging out and her alt has her tits falling out I think NRS is trying to show that she has no feelings and doesn't care what she wears or maybe I'm just reading into it too much

I think you are reading into it too much. every female character in the game have their tits and ass hanging out. I mean the big prize you get for completing the challenge tower is just a costume with even less clothing on it.

I like the idea of skarlett and i think she will be really fun character to play, but it is a little insulting when every girl character is wearing heels and dresses like a stripper, it feels like they assume i'm some 12 year old kid wanting nothing but big boobed girls.

I would really like a female character that doesn't fit the standard mk9 female model.

Eh... Not really digging her alt. Oh well. At least her primary costume is cool.

I hope Rain gets a simpler alt. Something similar to his original look.

I really hope they also fix the issue of having a 2 player tag team online cause the guest player cant choose the classic outfits or any of the alt outfits...player 1 can but the guest cant and that sucks cause when me and my bro play online we always have to switch controllers for us to take turns choosing the classic outfits

Oh, I didn't know about that issue, as I haven't played 2-player tag team yet. I don't even really play tag team myself. I'm more of an old school one on one fighter. Hopefully they get that issue fixed soon.

I've also come across another glitch. In the Record/Playback in practice mode, I noticed sometimes when you record a kombo, and then play it at another time after you leave that same level, it shows something completely different than you recorded it. I'm not sure if that has to do with the little lag that you get after you first press record, but it's still annoying when you record an awesome kombo, and then it doesn't show it how you performed it.

Though I'm sure they will get all these issues fixed. I have a lot of respect for Ed Boon and the NetherRealm Studios, so I'm sure they are working on these issues.

Well let's go back to the first dlc costume video. The Klassic Kostumes. You would see Cyrax being fought against, right? Well now since the second dlc costume video is out (Which is coincidentally Cyrax and Sektor) who's in video that Cyrax and Sektor are fighting? Noob and Smoke.

So basically we have our third dlc costumes coming up whenever Kenshi is released.

You also see Baraka and Cyber Sub. So this might not be a fully proven theory lol

It's a bit of a stretch with so little information to go on, but a good catch either way lol. It'll be interesting to see if they keep playing out that pattern...

Just coincide, I think you are seeing to much between lines... but you can be right though.

You must have not been around during the game's promotion.

There were SOOOO many little secrets in the videos that people would download every video and look at every single frame just for info.

I don't think it's possible for Cyber Sub and Baraka to have klassic costumes. Not unless Baraka looks exactly like how he did in MK Deception. But Cyber Sub... wouldn't work. Not unless he got Sub-Zero's costume from Deception also, even though it would make no sense.

Guessing the next classic costumes

This is what happened so far:
Klassic Skins Pack #1 announced and released
Skarlet announced

Klassic Noob and Smoke (MK2) announced and Rain DLC revealed

As you can see, NRS seems to be giving us some tips now and then, and the way the announced only MK2 skins for Noob and Smoke (and not MK1), it also seems that they want to stay as true as possible to the first games.

Also, it's reasonable to assume that WB don't care if content is on disc or not, and for most people it probably doesn't matter because they don't care or don't know about it. That is because even though we here or in other boards know about this stuff (or thing about it as rumors and such), most gamers are not into this stuff and don't go looking for every tid bit of info about a game before buying. Therefore, WB can charge us the same for in disc or not in disc content, which will piss some people off, but not the majority.

Having said all that, my idea is:
1) Klassic Skins Pack #2 will be announced and probably released after Kenshi, MK2 Noob and Smoke, and before Rain. It will contain only MK2 Ninjas. To stay true to MK2, Ermac will not get a costume, but to continue in the same line as the first pack, giving the same amount of content, they could release it like this:
-MK2 Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Kitana, Mileena, Jade and Skarlet Klassic Costumes (7 costumes in total)
-MK2 Kitana and Mileena Klassic Fatality and Jade UMK3 Klassic Fatality (3 fatalities in total)
Remember that Reptile didn't have a Fatality in MK1, so he got a MK2 Fatality, so the same idea would aply do Jade. Also, Ermac was a rumor in MK1 and didn't get a Fatality, and so Skarlet was a rumor in MK2 and wouldn't get a fatality either.
-About Kitana's MK2 Fatality, it would be awesome if they give her the Kiss of Death, but the game engine doesn't have mechanisms to stretch or enlarge a character. It can only melt or dismember. That way, her Kiss of Death would be fairly different, unless they make a way for it. BUT, Sub-Zero has two "Spine Rip" Fatalities, so Kitana could easily get just her decaptation Fatality. It would not be as cool, but if after the Fatality, she would make her victory stance just like in MK2, I would be VERY pleased. That pose was so charming. <3
-About Mileena's MK2 Fatality and Jade's UMK3 Fatality, I don't want to talk too much about them. You guys probably already got the idea.
-Since it's 7 costumes and 3 Fatalities, the prince would still be the same, or maybe a little more expensive (because cheaper it would never get).

2) So, if I'm right and everything above happens (or almost everything), we could get some tips for the next free klassic skins that will come with the 3rd DLC Character (Rain). To give Smoke a Cyber outfit at that time would seem unfair, since he would have more classic skins than any other ninja, so NRS could turn their eyes to other characters and give us, for example, MK2 Raiden and Baraka. BUT (once again, big butt-- oops...), with so many characters getting classic costumes, it's totally unfair that Cyber Sub-Zero still has NONE. So he will probably get some soon, maybe before other characters (like MK2 Raiden and Baraka). But if they want to stay true to the games, they can't give him a MK3 Cyborg skin. Now this part is where I think opinions will diverge the most. But anyway, if CSZ could wait some more, it would be really cool if they released Unmasked Sub-Zero and Cyber Smoke skins together and free for CSZ and Smoke.

3) Now, once again, imagining all that happened (a guy can dream, right?), what would be still missing? We still have a 4th DLC character not confirmed, 2 KLASSIC skins that would come with him/her, and a possible Klassic Skins Pack #3 to be released after Rain (or even only after the 4th DLC Character). So, possibilities are: Klassic Costumes for non-ninja characters, or UMK3 Klassic Ninja Costumes for almost every ninja (including Rain and excluding Skarlet). The list would be UMK3 Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Ermac, Human Smoke, Noob, Rain, Kitana, Mileena, Jade, which makes a total of 10. And since UMK3 doesn't really have much classic fatalities, the pack could not have any (or only give a klassic fatality for Ermac or something).


Please keep in mind that this is all SPECULATION (that I hope to come true lol).

I apologize for this wall of text, but I got really excited about this ideas and wanted to share with you guys.

Reptile's second fatality inflates the opponent a bit before exploding, also I dont understand why you say the engine cant do that, a so simple animation.

Where did I say they didn't?

And I don't remember Reptile's second fatality inflating the opponent. I'll check it out later.

And although you're right and it's an animation that can be easily done, one thing is to just do it, and the other is to do it and make it look good. Kitana's Kiss of Death should inflate the opponent to make him/her look like a very fat person, and I don't think the game engine can do that yet. If they could, the fatalities wouldn't be so focused in dismembering. At least that's what I think.

I really wish we'd get Klassic Shang Tsung with a soul-stealing fatality. It seems like it would require minimal motion capture since he already has the movements and, as we saw in the mini games, we already have soul-stealing effects ready to go.

I really wish we'd get Klassic Shang Tsung with a soul-stealing fatality. It seems like it would require minimal motion capture since he already has the movements and, as we saw in the mini games, we already have soul-stealing effects ready to go.

I parcially agree. I would love to have Shang's Soul Steal fatality (it would be just like his throw, but more fancy), but I don't know about a classic costume for him, since his costumes can't get better than they already are, IMO.

Well, there's no actual NEED for it, but this game is all about fan-service and Mortal Kombat for a lot of people (including myself) is all about ninjas. yeah but instead of them having 4 and 5 costumes for the ninjas i just thought they could release a klassic costume for everyone instead. right now everybody only seems to want klassic ninja costumes which is fine, but imo they all kinda look the same. not the exact same but there wouldn't be a huge difference for most of the ninjas between any of the arcade games costumes.
