... taunts aren't suitable in Goro's lair.

In MKII Kintaro used to taunt his enemies in front of the crowd. And in return the crowd would cheer him. What's the purpose of taunting in Goro's lair...? It bothers me a bit to see Goro looking at a wall or his empty throne and taunt his enemy.

I believe that it would have been more suitable if the sub-boss fights took place in Kahn's arena.
What do you think guys?
 
i find it odd that kintaro's fight is in goros lair, as for goro he has always been there and always will.

But your right about kintaro, he should fight in kahns arena and the crowd should respond to his taunts. Nevermind though, its minor.
 
Taunting isn't done just to rile a crowd. It's also done to intimidate your opponent.

I do think the Kintaro fight should take place in the Arena, tho.
 
I agree with you 'bout Kintaro. He should be back in the arena, with the roar of the crowd in the background. Nothing probably a patch couldn't fix.
 
Goro and Goro's Lair are inseparable for me. Goro doesn't travel anywhere to fight you, you go to Goro's home court for the privilege to fight a Shokan prince.

Kintaro on the other hand, I'm not sure how well he meshes with Goro's Lair. Kintaro is fighting to avenge Goro's defeat if I recall. I don't think he'd want to defeat Kang in the privacy of Goro's Lair. The Colosseum would be a much better venue for his fight, in my opinion.
 
Somebody should ask Ed about this on Twitter. Maybe they'll make it a reality.

Well I believe that in this case Kintaro should look at his enemy instead of looking at a wall. It gives me the impression that there is something missing when he does that. It just don't feel right to me. I am glad he taunts though, that gives us few free hits on him ;)

does anyone else find Kintaro easier than Goro or am i the only one?

Even when he does his teleport all i have to to do is jump kick and he falls down and he constantly taunts which gives me a free hit.
 
Imagine after Kintaro's defeat in Kahn's arena, Shao Kahn jumps from his throne to the arena to fight you, just like in mission 300. Now that would feel complete and awesome

I'd be all over that lol. Anyone with an account on Twitter should hit Boon up. If the word "tweet" used to describe a message didn't offend me so much, I'd prolly have started following a couple people on Twitter already lol. =P
 
That's why I liked that you fought Kintaro in Kahn's arena in the Kung Lao chapter of Story Mode. It felt right.
 
Those are both good ideas in your last 2 posts, Etryus. Hope it happens, but who knows?
 
Kahn has is own level as does Goro, why couldn't they just give Kintaro a place to call his own as well? Seriously, Goro has his lair why can't Kintaro have his own arena, cave, ring, or whatever?

He is of the Tigrar race of Shokans. He's inferior, even as a Shokan. His bloodlust is the thing that made him come up to Kahn's Vanguard.
 
Actually Khan has two stages but that's beside the point and yeah kintaro should be fighting you in khans arena

Thx Eks :), I also hope so. It shouldn't be very hard since the script is already in the game (mission 300). About Kintaro fighting in Kahn's arena, that shouldn't be too hard for uncle Boon either.
