KE Ninja Costume is Ermac

Looks good to me. I always like Ermac [ninja] over Scorpion & Sub-Zero cause they were overrated. I hope Ermac is deadly in MK2011!
 
Not that I really mind, because content is content, but I feel like all these classic skins for the ninja characters are somewhat counter-intuitive. I understand the game is a fan service and trying to "go back to its roots," so in that sense the palette swapped classic skins make sense. However, for a game that's also trying to individualize every character and add some depth with twists along the way, having a classic ermac/sub zero/scorpion/reptile whom all look alike aside from color is a bit disappointing to me. The current in-game characters are still instantly recognizable, so I would have preferred an alternate that strayed further from the beaten path, not back onto it. Even more so for a bonus packed in with the KE or TE.

I suppose including classic variations was a swift move to cover those die-hard fans of the original look, who hated the tweaked recreation(s).

Glad to see some one being reasonable with their disappointment. Their is people on both side saying that they should have unique alt costumes and people that say the palette swaps should be the on disc alt costumes and it seems like they are trying to please everyone but nothing is ever perfect. Nice to see them trying though.

Hopefully these story altered costumes will be their regular alternate costumes that can be found in the krypt.

Don't think that anyone has said anything official about the retailer exclusive pre-orders costumes or fatalities when it comes to worldwide but Amazon is Amazon everywhere so I wouldn't count it out. If they don't they have confirmed that they will be DLC later but it will suck for you guys if you have to wait and pay extra just because where you live.

The game isn't out yet in a couple of months so don't stress. The info about european pre-orders will be out before the release. I promise you. If not, then we know almost certain that there's no european pre-order deals.

I see where you're coming from, but I think that it can work out either way.
Maybe the Klassics will ALL be DLC and the MK 9 in-game Alternates will be in the Krypt, as TheWretchedCrow mentioned.
 
Well, I was expecting Ermac's klassic costume to be just like this, not based on his UMK3 outfit. The main reason they're doing these klassic costumes is for the fans who want the retro costumes, and and the retro costumes were based on palette swaps for the ninjas. I think every ninja's klassic outfit is going to be just like this. Not a bad thing, IMO.

Now I want to know about the female ninjas' klassic costumes. Looking foward to see a mixture between MK2-MK3 costume. But with MK2 hair, please.

The only thing I'm reacting to is that Ermac never wore this suit so how could it be klassic?! (as a Playable character)
But as you said. Every ninja will get this DLC service in the end.
 
Wait, So will all classic ninja costumes be available as DLC after release? Because I'm ordering mine from Gamestop and I would like to have all 3 klassic costumes not just Scorpion's.

Yes.
This was confirmed on the MK twitter.

The Pre-Order one is free, and the other 2 will be available later via DLC.
