Kano vs Sonya Cencored?

I heard a few years ago that the Kano vs Sonya fight from the first movie was heavily cencored! I heard that it originally showed Kano repeatedly kicking Sonya in the stomach. In England we only see one kick to the stomach. So I was wondering whether it was different in other countries or if anybody had seen a different version to the one we have here in jolly old England? :D
 
Umm... I dunno, I have the US DVD and it's definitely just one kick. I don't recall it being any different when I saw it in the theaters, either. If the fight was cut down, they must've done it before the movie was even originally released. As far as I know the fight isn't supposed to be any longer, though.
 
HMMMM, I may look into this further as the fight itself does seem brief!
I also saw the movie at the cinema and it was only one kick! Thanks though! At least that eliminates the British cencors!:D
 
The fight was brief, but I think he kicked her in the stomach more than once. Maybe two-three times if I am not mistaken.
 
I nver heard this, but its not unusaul for a fighting movie to have a lot of shots from one fight, then for them to cut most out and leave only the good parts in.
 
Just to be really observant on this one, the bit where Sonya's howling in pain is in slow-motion: a handy technique for filling in lost film time due to censorship. You can see another example in the censored music video for 'Die Another Day' by Madonna. Not that she was any good in the movie, but the bit where she gets shot by the speargun is cut out; the remaining film was slowed down to compensate. The wimps. :evil:
 
When I saw it in the theater (in Cali)

It was at least 3 hits in the abs. Then at the end Sonya does the scizzor kick, Shang Tsung says "Finish Him" and Sonya breaks Kano's neck. They even show how her legs break his neck......
