Just fought Secret Reptile

Just beat Shang Tsung using only specials and Goro was in the ladder. Still nothing.

There has to be some sort of clue on Shang Tsungs stage that triggers the event.

Noob had to appear in the temple to trigger the fight

Smoke and to make a brief appearance in the haunted woods to be able to trigger the fight

On the pit you had to wait for a witch/santa to fly past the moon to be eligible to face reptile

So there has to be a clue for Jade possibly on Shang Tsungs stage, be on the lookout.
 
What happens if you do these unlock things in tag team ladder?

I don't think anyone has tried this yet, and I was wondering the same thing. It stands to reason that there could also be hidden battles that only exist in tag mode, and they may use the remaining classic costumes that were not used in the four known ladder secret fights. Perhaps try holding down kick buttons or other input combinations as the fight transitions from Shang Tsung to where Jade is supposed to appear?

I get the impression that there are accidental factors at work here.

I would just use the stage-repeat trick over and over to look for clues. The glow that was noted is interesting...does it flicker on and off during the fight or change based on some sort of mid-fight event?
 
Actually smoke doesn't have to appear for the fight. When I got the fight I just uppercutted the guy I was against (I think Sektor) so that I could get some distance then kept hitting down and select and I got the win instantly and started the Smoke fight
 
The glow only happens when he changes back to himself I've tried finishing the fight with him glowing but no luck

hahaha god damn. I'm curious to what the hell causes jade to appear...

what if it has to do with time or like a 15 chain combo<_<?
 
i thought it could of been linked to an 8 hit combo cuz of the 8 in the files, and someone who fought her said his highest combo was 8 when he had fought her. thats what iv been thinking

yep, could be .....

Shang Tsung's Throne Room fight = exactly the 8th in the ladder, always ....
double flawless, doing at least one 8 hit combos per round + fatality ..... seem plausible.

only problem is everyone always saying flawless this flawless that, someone said they fought her and did NOT get a flawless so it might not even be that because reptile is a D flawless so why have it for 2 characters? it has to be something else
 
i wish someone who had fought jade successfully would have recorded the fight, that way they could have gone back and watched it and maybe picked out what was different.

it wont be just an 8 combo, we have to try to find something with it, idk if its a background thing also or not but there has to be a factor were missing. or just we have too many factors and were doin the wrong mixtures of them
 
Isnt Jade in the Tower? One of the secret messages in the game is "She waits for you at the top of the tower" and im almost positive that sometimes when you fight in the tower you hear a voice saying...."JADE"

Unless there is another female hidden fighter

I've restarted the Shang Tsung level (8th fight) many times and still haven't found any background clues that lead to jade.
Where are the two guys that encountered jade? we need more info.
 
I didn't feel like reading through 37 pages about this thread, so forgive me if it's already been said...but I got to fight secret klassic Reptile, but he was only green for like 2 seconds, then the green turned yellow, and he was klassic scorpion basically...but he still had Reptile's stance, acid, and etc...and the spear and ice of course...has this happened to anyone else?

...probably just a glitch, but yeah...
