Is this the longest wait for an MK game?

I found out 2 years ago around this time (4 months after MK. Vs Dc was released) , that Ed Boon and the team were working on another Mk game. I didnt join this site until around E3 last year and I also joined twitter to catch Ed Boons tweet info

Ah yes the old MK2 SNES story. :) Got my copy but was with my dad on a job so I had to wait for him to finish work! So excited when I got it home.
 
It's great hearing the opinions of both 30 year olds and teenagers because they are dramatically different. Some of these youngsters weren't even born when the original came out and others are like me and played the original trilogy in the arcades
