Is the Tournament Edition worth it?

I'm considering getting the TE over the standard from Walmart today, and I want to know if If I should.

I've never owned a fight-stick and I planned on putting a lot of time into this game (going for all the achievements).

Also I find it neat that I can use it for the PC via USB

Just wondering if anyone else is getting it.

I'd ordered mine a month ago from Futureshop. I played MK in the Arcades with the 6 button spaced layout and this comes with a corndog stick, so it's just like I remember. I find (at least with my older 360 gamepad) that when I go to do a special on fighters it sometimes causes me to lurch into a jump, so a stick would help prevent that.

It's a good buy, as PDP are selling the stick by itself for just $20 cheaper than the MK TE itself. So if you later decide you'd have wanted the stick, it will end up costing you a fair bit more to get one.

And, if you own UMK3 for 360, you could tailor it for better gameplay, and if the HD classics are coming too, well... :)

Yeah I just bought it, I didn't want to chance it going out of stock, I've never ordered from Walmart nor do I have one in NY so I hope I don't get dicked over.

And yeah, I still have UMK3 on XBLA from 2006 Lol, it was hell trying to Redownload it

Even if i will probably not play that much with it... It's just a very good piece of collection!!! It will also remembered me the good old days!!!

I think it is. I'm in the same spot you're in, I've only used sticks a few times back in the day when MK was in arcades. The learning curve should only be a few hours. Additionally, it's one awesome piece for any MK fan's collection. It could be worth a lot some time in the future if they don't make any more.

Has it been confirmed that it will work with the PC? I can get the dual shock hooked up to my pc and play mame with it. Was hoping that the same driver would work for some MK mame!

If it is using USB, which I believe it is, there's nothing stopping it from getting a homebrewed driver.

The Xbox only supports its own native drivers, and those work with P&P on the Pc, so it will have instant support.

thats the reason why you cant use the Xbox Controller on Ps3

PS3 TE should work on PC...hoping it does.

Also I'm buying it because I've only used stick in arcades and always wanted one for the PS3...this one is perfectly built.

Yeah the quality of the build looks REALLY solid, thats what impressed me the most, most of the time you get cheap plastic statues that are low quality, these look sturdy.
