Injustice: Gods Among Us to be at Evo 2013

People want to watch Injustice. Skullgirls is boring as shit.

Who are these people? Us? Because it came last place in the poll last year. It has nothing to do with Skullgirls being boring. It has to do with the fact that Injustice was given a free pass after EVO reps said it wasnt possible to add a 9th game. It calls into question the integrity of the people running EVO.

Quote from Evo Reps
'The April release date of Injustice is just two months away from EVO, which is a very short amount of time to draw out a game’s full potential.'

That was from January when they said Injustice would NOT be part of EVO. So the game reached its full potential in 3 weeks?

Last year before anyone got their hands on the beast. Now everyone wants a lick.

jk, you already know it's because NRS/WB is probably a sponsor.

Clearly your reading is being skewed by something. You should go back and read what I wrote again. And I wasn't offering you a personal opinion. Pretty much every board devoted to Injustice, including those with high level players has pointed out how zoning-heavy this game is, not just me. Several tournament players like REO, Brady and Pig have even brought out YouTube videos to try and downplay the issue with titles like 'Dealing With Zoners In Injustice'.

But clearly you know otherwise. I look forward to seeing you win Evo with Bane.

Sarcasm aside, you do know that they don't have to be zoning EVERY single second of the game? Sometimes the opponent will get in close then they have no choice but to combo or try to get away.

I'm not sure which tournament videos you watched, but in the one REO won, where he was zoning the Green Lantern all day, you know, the one where the commentators talk about how good Batman is at zoning, you can hear the commentators also say something like, 'If you get a good life lead in this game, you just sit on it and it's very difficult for your opponent to get back into it'. That pretty much sums up the game at the moment against so many characters.

So your going to base your whole statement off some GL player who couldnt figure out how to get in? This isnt UMVC3, hell even MVC2 where zoneing and projectiles rule. There are plenty of options to get in on your oponent, which is the reason others have made the video's on how to deal with it, maybe its a reflection on how lazy gamers have become where they can no longer think for themselves. Dont like it? Go play Tekken or Soul its really that simple.

You mock but I wouldnt be suprised if we see a grappler go far, NRS did a great job giving them tools to get inside to handle the *gasp* zoners.

Saw this on SRK and had to post here. It's a well written article on how and why injustice got to Evo.

Well played sir, well played.

I want to see Injustice, and I know others do as well. It's a new game, so obviously it's going to get some show time. We'll see if it sticks around next year.

No, I base my statement off the fact the game favours zoners, a simple observation that everyone of every skill level except you has pointed out. Your hysteria over this observation contributes nothing of worth to the thread.

Your rants don't negate the point made earlier by the tournament commentators that if you get a good life lead in this game it's very difficult to claw it back. You just turtle and sit on your lead.

If that remains the case and gets more-so as the game matures then it will make for very boring streams. That isn't healthy for the game's life or the community.

The options in this game to get in on a zoning character are really not as great as you think. But you don't seem the type to believe anything other than what you want. Let's see who's winning tournaments in a year or so when the game has matured. I'm calling it now it will be characters with zoning skills, not grapplers. Feel free to bump this thread then and gloat if I'm wrong.
