In this thread: we want cyborg smoke back and cyber sub zero gone

You dont have to be a professional to write an MK script, you need a pen and a bag of weed. At least is what they were doing since MK4 to MKA lol

I never said weed wasn't involved lol. Every good professional keeps his right hand man around, be he/she a musician, painter, or writer. =P

just because they are professional writers and we aren't doesn't mean that the fans should have no say on how to improve the story. i get what you are saying but we as fans are just stating our opinions on the matter at hand.

Professional writers? I wont pretend that i could write a better story because i really dont know enough about the MK legacy, but from a scriptwriting view the story in this game is really lame. Everything is so rushed because the story mode is way to short to fit everything in there.

Rushed how? I'm not attacking you, just curious about what brought you to that conclusion.

The gameplay or the story itself is 1-2 hours(?) and they are trying to squeeze in everything that happened until MK3 in there, you go figure. For example Jax has a random encounter with Ermac and from nowhere his arms gets exploded, so this is how he lost his arms? Even though this is really lame they had to have it in there because they had come up with some cheap explanation to his metallic arms. And then we have Kabal who has a mask that can help him breath even though its not connected to the apparatus or the tube that connects to his windpipe. Thats just as stupid as giving the Cyborgs human skeletons and organs and making them "bleed" oil instead of blood. The list goes on & on how badly done this is

From nowhere? the guy has telekinesis, many souls focused at the same time in making your arms explode, i think the explanation is great. You are of that people that says "it could be better if..." yh always can be better but dont forget that can be worse too, i think the story is great how it is, it has its pros and cons, but i think pros are over the cons.

The story is significantly longer than 1-2 hours. Hell, the cutscenes for the MKI portion alone are more than 1-2 hours.

The didn't have to come up with a way to give Jax those arms. In the Original Timeline they are simply cybernetic implants. They decided to forgo that explanation and come up with a new and shiny reason. I personally agree with Fox17 on this one, I like it. A definite "Holy S--t!" moment.

Being reconstructed by a mix of surgery and sorcery isn't bad at all. He's a severe burn victim. Burn victims are often operated on. However, in this world, one does not have to settle for surgery alone, there is a rather powerful sorcerer on hand. Shang Tsung helps restore Kabal because he sees the potential for a powerful fighter should they successfully save his life. The respirator does connect, but it gets a bit roughed up at times because of damage modeling. The damage done isn't meant to be realistic, it's there for fun.

The cyborgs' human skeletons and organs did irk me a bit, but there's a couple potential explanations that could possibly be used. One such explanation would be that they based the cyborg process on the human form. They know that the bipedal design of humans works, so why f--k with it? Not the smoothest reasoning, but I just threw it out there off the cuff.

I personally would like to see CyberZero but have him better thought out and designed, and keep both the lin keui human, cyrax and sektor are the only true cyborgs. Besides I wanna see demonic enera smoke ha

Eh, I'd be glad that there is a story mode since this is a fighting game. Propably only fighting game series with a story above the crappy/nonsense/unlogical/stupid grade although only barely.

I agree with the idea, 2 cyber its enough there must change cyber sub-zero to sub-zero
they also have to make a re-makeof sub zero mythologies starting as cyber and turn him back as a human or so and what happend to all the ninjas scorpion is great but it wouldnt be the same whit a cyber sub-zero it was a terrible idea turning a classic one to a cheap character

Frankly, I like Cyber Sub-Zero a little more than Cyber Smoke :|

Don't ask, maybe it's his moves and his outfit. Cyber Smoke was Cyrax recolored in a way of speaking. Cyber Sub-Zero looks like freaking Predator.

I can understand adding a character you like who's no there. But eliminating an existing character so no one else can play is just lunacy and shows you're a selfish ***tard !

If you don't like a character, then don't play as them ! But don't be an @ss and deny me the opportunity to do so.
