Also, I just realized that Fingerbang was from South Park. So whoever thought that, was very uncreative.

Well here is the update with my band as I said before we were looking to mix sigur ros style drums with techno and abstract guitar as Prophet said to me and we liked the sound so know we are in the process of writing songs and here is the idea for our album it will be a 3 disc set
The 1st cd will feature a "light" sound to it meaning guitars and singing I am not going to be on that cd since we are not using drums in the first cd this is the cd that will actually have lyrics in the songs and the person who is singing is my new girlfriend so yay
The 2nd cd will feature more of a "darker" sound meaning it will contain mostly drums, bass guitar, distortion of both insruments and since my bandmate knows someone who can play an organ we will feature that in our cd too
Both of our cd's will be over 75 minutes long and will be awesome I can assure that
Now the last disc will be a dvd that will contain both cd's on it but as the 2 cd's are playing on your screen you will see many visualizations that we will be creating over time
This cd will take over 2 years to make since we can only use the recording studio whenever sevendust is in their our cd will be entitled Dark Lightness for now and whenever we record some stuff I'll put it up here for you guys to listen to
So your recording in the same studio as Sevendust? Also, if you need some tips, FruityLoops is awesome when it comes to making abstract light music. A feature which transfers an image into music, its really cool.
An example of it is on my song called Alien Peace Song, link is below, locust I highly suggest you listen to it. The whole song is that feature in Fruityloops:
yes that is correct the people at the recording studio are cool with us using it but since we have to get an appointment to be in there there is already a lot of bands before us so they just extended sevendust's time to allow us to record in there
Thats pretty cool. Good luck, and check out that song for inspiration. The feature is really cool. You literaly place an image, and it makes a thing like that out of it. The Link again:
so do you have to pay money for the studio time and producer, or are you just allowed to do it for free but only at certain times?
Cause my friend has a recording studio with a 56 channel mixing board...of you happen to live on long island i could hook you up with a space for the right price.
Prophet-Thanks for that link it was pretty inspirational I already have half of a song written when I was listening to it
TeddyBluegrass-First of all I live in Florida and we get to get inside and record our stuff for free but we have to provide our own recording tapes, cost about $30 a tape for 30 minutes, since we aren't signed buy any record company
