IF we get some guest Characters.... Who do you Want

Isn't he pretty much irrelevant at this point?

Yes and no...

His last game (Defiance) came out in 2003/2004. That may have been a long time ago, but he was featured as DLC in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which came out in 2010 (not that long ago). Currently there is a new game in the works (Nosgoth), which might bring the series back to attention and pave way for a proper reboot it deserves.

Plus Raziel is pretty popular, despite being old and not being recently in a game proper - just like Crash Bandicoot or Spyro. They're all icons of the 90's, along with MK, and that's why Raziel can be relevant if done properly.

Yeah, we have Nitara and Hotaru, but that's precisely why Raziel would fit in.

Jason is a stretch, but there's no way Myers or 'Random slasher flick monster from a straight to vhs movie' fit in Mortal Kombat

Kain and him are among the best characters ever made for video games. I never buy a DLC, but if there are one of those two in MKX's DLC, I think I buy them.

I know, right? The Legacy of Kain series is really deep and special. Soul Reaver was my favorite, followed by Soul Reaver 2 and the first Blood Omen.

NRS could easily place Raziel/Kain into MK. They could just enter through a portal and that would be enough to explain it. Plus their moves and fatalities could be pretty good.

I think it's worth asking. Wonder what Ed would say.

He would say "No."

Btw maybe a little offtopic but will we ever see Motaro back?
It was so painfull to not fight against him in MK9

But carry on ....:)

Although I expected Motaro to be in MK9 as a sub-boss, I didn't exactly miss him. At least he made a cameo in Story Mode.

As for wheter he'll be back... No, he won't. They find him too hard to insert into the game in a way that would work. He's too big (literally). But IMHO that's just an excuse.

Oh and welcome to the forums. Do you like cooking?

Not exactly true. To most ideas he said either "No/Not possible" or "Silly/Dumb", but to some he also said "Cool/Convincing" - in other words a small portion of ideas have a chance.

Plus he can change his mind over time. Just look at Tremor - at first he hated him, now he's ok with him and will likely include him in MKX proper or as DLC; partially because the fans demand him.

I still want to see Spawn. Spawn and Mortal Kombat together fit like peanut butter and jelly. Spawn and Mortal Kombat were the over the top violence and gore that most 90's kids grew up with in the 90's kid. The plot could be that Malebolgia wants the power of Shinnok's amulet and he sends Spawn into the MK universe to go after it, if they use Al Simmons instead the current Spawn in the comics.
