I love Dr. Jean Grey

Actually, what I meant was, "I love the Phoenix!" I just watched X-Men: The Last Stand, and I can't get enough of this bad-ass chick. I don't even know why, but I love the look on her eyes when she's doing her thing and making the world around her into her own reality. This chick can literally do anything she wants; she just has to let her thoughts come alive. Not to mention that she's the most powerful mutant in the world, that we know of. They say she is a purely instinctual creature, full of passion and love and rage. It's almost like she's the innocent one, even when she's killing people. She doesn't know any better and only reacts to her environment in the most primitive way. She's beautiful, dangerous, and unpredictable, truly a "goddess." The master of her domain.

But is this chick a threat? Can she destroy too much in a fit of rage or passion? I'm not just talking about a building, or a city even, but can she destroy the universe? She may be a threat to the entire cosmos if she's left to do what she wants while she's the Phoenix. I don't know of anything that she's not capable of, really. And if she's the next stage of evolution for our species, is there room for all of us? Will physical objects be meaningless in the future? Can she create anything she wants as well as destroy? Will she love me as much as I love her?

Hey, man. That's alot of questions you got. But I'll try and answer all of them in just two goes. Oh, and I think she was great in X3!

1. Famke Jannsen is a super hot babe, and vastly under-rated on many levels.

2. Big E PWNZ all! So all of your questions about Phoenix controlling the Universe and whatnot are automatically nullified.

Love the color of her hair.

Couldn't argee with you more, and I have yet to see the game, hopefully I can rent it this week.

Same. I have yet to see the game. I heard from a few members here that it BLOWS! I guess it'll be a renter for me. jgreenwo, dude, she killed off her true love, Cyclops. So I guess she's pretty fuked up. I loved how Logan was the only one able to face her wrath at the end of the movie and get to her. Talk about powerful!

Um, Famke Janssen underrated? I don't think so. She's an awesome actress and everyone knows it. She is in no way underrated at all. She is well respected in Hollywood.

Famke Janssen, my fellow countrywoman.....
Are we Dutch folk proud of her succes in the U.S. ?
You damn right we are ;)

Woahhhhhh.

Jgreen. Nice to see you back, man. Been a loooooong time. If you posted in the "I'm Back" stuff I missed it because I never check those. So welcome back in any case.

However. My stand on 'The Last Stand' is that anything that came/comes from this movie sucks. I thought it was terrible. No character development, no direction, no real story, and full of forgettable one liners. It's sad since #2 was so good.

The very first movie I saw her in was that horror movie "Deep Rising". Did you see her in that sexy red evening dress, dude? Hubba Hubba! That gun is getting blown well and truly

Famke Janssen was so hawt in Golden Eye! Like you Chupa, I disliked the movie, but after watching it like 3 times, I'm starting to love it.

To answer your question, J, since everyone else is so off topic now :-P

Yes, she can destroy the universe, but I don't think her powers are as cool as the Scarlett Witch's (Magneto's Daughter). The movie only portrayed a segment of Jean's power as the Pheonix, which took it's name from ancient mythology. The Pheonix is a fiery bird that rises from the ashes to reset (destroy all life so it can start again) the universe when things have gone awry, and this entity attached itself to Jean's concious in the comics. At one point in the comics she actually destroys a star for a solar system, wiping out that entire system before she gains control over herself.

What I'm pissed most about with the character in the movies is the absence of the flaming bird behind Jean when she is using her powers in a substantial amount.

The Scarlett Witch, as I said earlier had much cooler powers. She actually could change reality in peoples' minds and physically. At one point she changed reality so that all the Mutants had no powers or memory of those powers, so everyone could live peacefully. This was done much to the chagrin of her father who ended up super pisssed about the whole thing and killed her after the whole thing was reversed.

I think I got all that stuff pretty much right.
