How might the dead return for MKX

These characters were killed in Mortal Kombat 9,my plea to ED BOON,would you please resurrect,bring back JAX,KITANA,KUNG LAO & LIU KANG back from the dead & put them in Mortal Kombat X? I've heard that the Mortal Kombat characters don't die,they're still alive,I'm sticking with that theory.

Yeah, I was thinking about Shang. Now help me out, but I seem to possibly remember in one of Shang's bios stating something along the lines that Shang's soul was linked to Shao Kahn so that, if he was ever killed, he was resurrected in Outworld to do Shao's bidding again. Or is my mind writing its own MK lore? Like I said, it's a little foggy. Anyway, so, Shao uses him as a battery for Sindel, then Sindel is killed by Nightwolf. This means Shang's soul is free and pops back in Outworld. Shao then goes to Earthrealm to become dragon food for the Elder Gods. Link broken=Shang profits. Seems plausible he can come back.
