I don't know about you, but I've found myself playing more UMK3 lately than MK:A. I brought the game over to one of my friends who used to plunk quarter after quarter down in the arcades with me and we ended up playing UMK3 for a few hours. I think we played only a few matches of MK:A before he tired of it and wanted to try UMK3. Now I've been playing it at home more than MK:A!

All I can say is, I'm not surprised, dude. I only play classic MK.. the real MK that is. And UMK3 is a prime choice for endless hours of vs fighting. Choice shit that, man. It's quite normal to enjoy the older games rather than this new trash. So don't feel even the slightest bit guilty about it. Lol

I don't particularly like UMK3...or any of the MK3 games. I play MKII more than MKA yep, but I still play MKA a good bit.

The fact that it was the arcade rather than the home ports was what made it unattractive. I played through single-player mode trying to land Kabal's Brutality only to find you can't do it. I rather hook up my old Genesis and play UMK3. Or just play the rom.

The arcade versions of any classic MK game, including MK3U are the best. Anything else is just a port-over. The brutalities were/are easy to do. Just have a chest sheet handy, dude. As for UMK3 on the MKA bonus disc, I heard that it was way slower and somewhat washed out compared to the original version.

I don't have a way to play UMK3, but would like to. I only have an original xbox, and that's probably the way it shall stay for a while. Loved it in the arcade though years ago.
