It's awesome. I wouldn't call it San Andreas awesome just yet, but there's still time for me to grow to love it just as much.
Yeah, I just wandered into a shop today, launch day, and plucked two copies straight off the shelf, one on PS3 for me, one on 360 for my GF's brother. I ought to tell you that the shop hadn't even opened at that time, man, it's god to work in a shop sometimes lol. The big crowd outside didn't look too pleased.
 
LOL!!! my brother preordered it like three months ago for 360, so hopefully we'll get it today. I'm having like an anxiety attack!!
 
I got it.

It is massive. its epic. Its ****ing brilliant.

(I rhink SA was dumb. Well, the game wasnt, it was the games vibe that bugged me. The whole early-mid 90's West coast, gangsta rap vibe was a wee bit corny the 2 time around.)
 
Got this at midnight. Me and my bro have been playing it off and on all day. Although we've only completed 3 missions lol. Yeah this game is great but i think i liked SA more.
 
Man, it's great. I wish that my boss didn't see me buying it yesterday, I totally want to call a sickie today
 
I got it, so far its good. It hasnt blown me away like i thought it would, but its still damn good so far. Graphics look more like a painting than what i thought it would look like. Cars drive like every street is made of ice. Controlling Niko takes a while to get used too. He isnt as fast or quick to change directions like gta characters in the past. I am not that far yet, so i still have to get deep into the story and find out all the other cool stuff.
 
I'm starting to get into it more, and I can see how good it is. I personally think the edges should've had a blur to make it more realistic, because I find it looks most realistic when I'm driving really fast.

Either way, the controls and changes made take a while to get used too, and the layout is sort of questionable, but I believe because of the improved physics and such that this will be a great GOTY contender.
 
Well it will be competing (hopefully) against the likes of Metal Gear Solid 4, Resident Evil 5, and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. I think GTA will have its hands full.
 
i just got it today. it looks beautiful, i love the graphics and especially the car mechanics and graphics. unfortunately my brother is playing it right now, but tomorrow i have a half day of school because of testing so I'll have GTA to myself for a good three hours.

I just set the controls to classic straight away, pretty much the same controls as the previous five GTAs. I just got on the second island and spent $1200 on an awesome suit. Then I took Michelle out and she didn't freaking like it. *****.

Yeah this game is growing on me now. I loved the extra things in SA with the gym and everything but this is a much better engrossing story.

Loving the game so far, need more time this weekend though.

Ha! Big pimp here got her with only 2 dates. Bowling and Darts.

I got the 360 version and its great as far as I can see. Its nice to be able to enter cheats once, and then activate them as many times as you want.
 
I got her on 3 dates; bowling, drinking and cabaret. I was surprised, cos she didn't enjoy the cabaret but she still put out after. Man, in SA they were a lot harder work. Thought it was funny how Niko asked her if he could come inside for some 'hot coffee' though lol.

Yeah, I'm going to up this one to being better than SA. Niko is a surprisingly good character, and I love the town. Still think they should have named the town something different though to keep it canon with GTAIII. Cities just don't change to that degree in just a few years.
 
This game has so much to do in it. Ive dated 3 girls now and got them all in the sack. Michelle 3 times, another twice, and the 3rd one i just started seeing got some on the 2nd date. Some of them have special abilities...like restoring health, or getting rid of your wanted stars. but i dont think that stuff works during missions. I like how much easier it is to have people like you though. And when you decline to do something with them its not a big loss. At one point i didnt see michelle for a while and i was still 99% with her. Pool was okay, darts was meh, but bowling is pretty damn fun. So far my favorite character besides Niko is Brucie, he is funny.

I hate Brucie, but he is funny. He's just a bit of a cock lol. I like Jacob and Badman, and strangely I like Brian the crackhead too, dunno why. Playboy X is pretty cool, as is Elizabeta.

Let us be honest, GTA4 is not going to be competing against MKDC.
