Goro's Lair and The Pit I

I'm just going to speak out my personal opinions here and please comment.

Goro's Lair looks pretty amazing however they added a throne for him to sit on. That personally kills it for me, and to be honest I think it's only me but I could be wrong. Shang Tsung has throne stage and so does Shao Kahn. but really, give Goro a throne too? So now the whole stage to me is now call Goro's Throne Room rather than Goro's Lair. :/

And is there a Pit I remake? I think in one of the magazine scans shows it from what I see.
 
Well i think they just merged the Pit I and Pit II together, to get what they have now
and i don't know how i feel about Goro sitting there, but in the new stage they showed off, the whole place to me seems too "moist and sticky" if you get my drift.
 
...as for Pit stage, i don't think there will be more than one Pit stage...as far as we know there's three classic Pit stages : Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3, but one and only that's confirmed is the one from MK2, so its Pit 2 and to tell you honestly i'm glad, because it looks the best Pit stage out of all!...as for throne in Goro's Lair in my opinion its reasonable since he's like prince and all...he's like an emperror of Shokan army so...
 
I mean, there are quite a few stages with a "throne" in them so I think it's unecessary to give Goro one. I mean if he's a prince why not give him one in the original game? With that said, in the original classic version was a lot more creepy and dreading. Hanging skeleton, bones on the floor and glowing eyes in the tunnels. I don't think any "prince" would need that. I know Goro's half human and half dragon and all but seriously...

I think it should just be left like the original without the throne.

I would try imagining a throne in the original and but it doesn't work out well.

goro is a prince but also a 500 year champion of MK...that earns a throne...maybe the throne was always there just out of view? maybe were in another section of the lair and not the "dungeon"

as far as the pit stages...so far ive only seen the pit 2 and im still questioning why there are spikes in it when it was cement.....i also think the liver or whatever organ that gets stuck on the tip of the spike looks cheesy
 
I think the throne of Goro fits pretty well with the stage concept.. If anything Goro might be an announcer laughing at/ commemorating/ mocking players like Shao Kahn and Tsung. I like it, I just wonder if there will be a stage fatality for it or not.

As for the Pit 1, I REALLY hope they include this. Keyword: OLD SCHOOL. I definitely want to uppercut an opponent into a bed of spikes, complete with horribly slain victims gored and scattered all along the bottom of the pit. A welcome addition to this orgy of murder! Woo! :) Actually, I'm really hoping for remakes of all Pit stages from MK1 - UMK3. If not, then I'll be slightly disappointed.
 
needs to have the original pit...the pit 2 is cool....but i havent seen one pit stage that could hold a candle to the original. especially with the bodies. heads and skeletons at the bottom...and could be done with a simple uppercut...no button combos required

are they doing anything with objects flying passed the moon?
 
I love the new goros lair it looks amazing and it makes goro look more like a boss and bad ass. All the levels are so good. I do like the pit 2 as well but i was hoping for cement instead of spikes. every mk game has had spikes in it except the pit 2, thats why it was one of my favorites. But they combined the two pit 1 and 2. So it still looks good and Im not gonna complain because new people will still be impressed im sure. But who knows maybe the bell tower wont have spike and youll just land on the floor now. Only time will tell, and looking forward too all the stage fatalities, especially after seeing the subway.
