For those who read the story , please get in.(minor spoilers)

So , I was just about to read everything before I held myself at the last minute. Checking MK0's members' opinions , wasn't the best plan I had ( they usually hate what I like ), but I wanted to hear your opinions.

First of all , I want to say that I prefer MKDA-MKA's progress of story telling more than MK1-3. I like how Vogel takes bold moves , I love to see characters from the main roser getting killed and screwed.

Mistakenly , I have known about 3 twists : Ermac's , Kitana's fate (a famous MKO member was bashing for his beloved character just like how he kept doing for 10 years ) and Sub's twist (hinted many times ). I found them amazing. I really found them refreshing with Ermac's being very well thought up.

Now let me get to my point here , I want to hear the opinions of those who read the whole story from the start to the end and tell me what do they think about it ?

I know this sounds stupid , but if I am gonna leave the spoilers unread for 35 days , I just want to make sure that they atleast are beloved by some people.

There are a couple threads already discussing things about the story mode, but I can kind of see what your getting at here.

I personally enjoy the story.

It's a more in depth look at some of the unchanged events in MK1-3. People are actually killed, and, at least for now, they seem to be staying dead. They chose a few good twists to actually alter the story, like Sub and Smoke, involving the Elder Gods, etc. Before I read the story, I was like "meh April 19th isn't that far away". After reading the story, I am like "GEE ZUS THIS GAME NEEDS TO GET RELEASED NOW!

Glad I am not the only one locing what he heard , for a moment @MKO , I thought I was.

It's gotta be the best story ever in a fighting game. The best thing is that its all gonna be voice acted and theres like 2 hours worth of cutscenes.

If you'll get more out of it by not spoiling it then I'd say it's worth it to wait.

Well, they're dead as of the end of this game. It's hinted that they'll be resurrected though.

Quan Chi says he has their souls, so he and Shinnok are probably gonna be raising them back to life as zombies or something equally retarded in the next game.


I do like a lot of the story, I think they made an awesome twist to Liu's and Raiden's story. Johnny Cage finally has a little more depth from his bio too. Can't say I'm happy about Cyber Sub Zero though, but in my ideal MK game there wouldn't be any cyborgs and it would be a pure fantasy setting. So sci-fi fans might be fine with him.
 
I like the story. Your gonna like it, there are a few twist and turns that i would call bold. Also go into it with an open mind, don't let the past story hinder you from enjoying it like most people do on this site and others.
