I wasn't going to play this game, but seeing as how like every single real life friend + all of my old FFXI friends from back in the day are playing it.

I might as well.

I was just curious if anyone else here is picking it up. I don't expect anybody to lol. But doesn't hurt to ask.


Note: it's an MMO.
 
My friend is also a big FF fan, and he's extremely hyped for this game.

He showed me some gameplay. The graphics look nice, and I heard it had cross-play or whatever you call it.

So PS3 owners can play with PC people?
 
It depends on the type of the business model and requirements needed to play it. The only MMO I played was Dungeon Fighter Online (the North American server was shut down last June).


If I do get it, it will likely be for the PS3 since my PC isn't made for handling games and don't know if I'll get a PS4.

Yes PS3 can play with PC.

they wanted to cross play with Xbox too, but Microsoft said no.



@flawless: It's not grind based, apparently you level mostly from quests/missions ect ect.


If anyone gets it let me know and I'll inform you of what Server I'll be on.
 
I finally bought this game and just started. figured I would see if anyone else on here still plays or whatever..
 
I have a two characters on diabolos both are around lvl 10 I havn't done much in the way of grinding or story progression just running around and exploring. I got a company xmas party tonight and gotta work all day tomorrow but and maybe a guest coming in this weekend for the holiday's. So some time next week if I can I might try to get back to it and hit you up when I do.

ok, you can either server transfer if you want to save waht little work you did. Or are you gonna start brand new?

Either way if you come to my server I'll invite you to my Free Company.
 
I see a lot of people on my Friend List playing. Dudes that usually strictly play fighting games. So it must be good. And your brother Crit, dude is on that shit 24/7
 
My most invested character is already in a FC so I don't really wanna sever switch and change that aspect seeing as the dude helped me figure some stuff out and was nice.

I will probably create a new character and join up with you seeing as how both my highest leveled characters are magic users I would like to start a melee character next and see what that is like.

Got any suggestions for a starting class?

I was thinking of doing a lancer maybe but am open to the others except for archer for now.

FFXIV and The last of us are the only real things he has for the ps3.

It's about to be the last MMO that hasn't adopted the "Pay real money to get cool stuff" that others have adopted.

Nah son, don't start on my server too. If you want to stay there do that.

There is too much in this game to do for you to be playing 2 characters.
