not sure what to think of it but it does seem to read like a typo.
 
I think it was a typo and is just referring to the code needed to see uncensored fatalities on the widget (it says pick-up code at time of pre-order, which is the code for the widget,so..)-
 
Im curious to know what this fatale mode is as well... Also im wondering if Canada gets it as well...
 
ha but ed boon said there are different mode types that no one has seen yet! im really excited for those.
 
I Wouldnt get to up in arms about this, Zaf probably hit it on the head in regards to it being about the widget code for the uncensored fatalities.
 
So what I'm getting from the tweets is that very soon, mortal monday perhaps, Boon is gonna reveal some modes. And in regards to the WTF tweet, i think hes being sarcastic. They may actually be a fatale mode, so hopefully they reveal some stuff soon.

Ya he better not be pulling our leg again. I would love to see some new modes. :)

@SMOKE: ed's tweet was purely coincidental- of COURSE theres other game modes in the game, but the tweet sent to the MK twitter was from a fan in regards to the Gamestop ad. GS folks are morons and its more likely that they mispelled the word, especially since the MK twitterresponded with "spelling Fatality!"
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt there are "retailer-excusive" game modes, thats ludicrous.

what ties it up for me is that it reads in fine print what i previously stated ("pick-up code at time of pre-order"), since we already know thats when theyre suposed to give you the widget code and nothing else

thats a very good point you've made and it makes a lot of sense.
so fatale mode was most likely a accident by game stop, i do wonder what the other modes are then.
 
It could be like a 1-hit KO thing. Where you have to defeat a series of enemies, but if you get hit once, you're out.

:D I would very much like that.

Agreed. I hope the fact that Ed said that there would be more released info was true, though.
 
I agree about it actually referring to the Gamestop code. However, I think a Fatality mode would be a good idea; a Fatality demonstration mode, to be specific. My idea is that once you have performed a fatality, it unlocks that fatality video, and you build up a library of fatalities to watch. You can enter the Fatality mode and view them anytime. It could even be part of the Krypt. What do you guys think?

A good idea, but the same thing could just be achieved by loading up training mode and putting it into the "instant-fatality" mode they said they were including. And would it just randomize the character you would be doing the fatality to?

Though it would be nice to also have a convenient list.

Seems like a good idea, however i think i would get sick of seeing the same fatality over and over again, it would get boring. i wouldnt want to have access to it unless it was in a real game. like they have done in the past.

the krypt idea was nice tho! i hope fatalities are unlockable only via the krypt!

when i preordered my game at gamestop, they didnt give me my widget code... its nowhere on the reciept... what to do? how can i get it?
