Fanart/Fake stealing

Bauman doesn't steal work anymore than other sites do. (mind you he gives less credit than most sites) The only thing I have a problem with, is making a profit from that stolen work. Sites like YTMND, etc. give credits (or they're supposed to, as it is entirely user submitted). But the BIG difference is that YTMND is FREE.
 
Making a profit at someone else work without there knowledge is worst then stealing... I haven't been a victium of that as far as I know though. Just the stealing bit.

The worst hit is always the artist themselves... Spending up to months on a piece only to have it stolen behind your back is tragic to a person.

ScorpZero didn't get banned for stealing art, or for his use of profanity towards the mods and other users. He was banned because he was posting pornography in the forums. This type of behavior results in an immediate lifetime ban according to Jeff.
 
I don't see why he got so crazy so what if he got cought? he could just say sorry, i agree with the banning from stealing art people put alot of work into there art and then people go and stealing and try pass it off as there own and like scorpzero did editing off my user name annoye's me more lol, like i said in another post, so what if u cant draw/make fakes, keep trying and you will get better just dont clam others work as your own, anyway thats enuff b$%*hing out of me :P .

Well, there is another way round avoiding having someone just remove a sig... Insert a secret signature. Simply add something to all your work that you know will instantly be reconised as your own. It also must be part of the picture and not say 1 inch from the drawing like most sigs are.

It was the trick I used to catch out my own art thieves... They didn't expect my signature on the pictures they were stealing... Not to be in the form of a name. :wink:
 
Yea in my graphic design class I always sneak a picture of a fat squirrel into my projects. It's fun to watch people try and find it.
 
this kind of goes around the same thing as CS Banana stealling everyones Skins that they make and putting em under different athors.
