Ed Boon / NRS Quiet on Twitter today

Thanks I came from totalmortalkombat just seems more lively here

LOL, you totally came to the right place then :P.

In regards to the thread, honestly if most demos get hacked before game's release, then they should have anticipated this. If they put the stuff in on purpose, then NRS should definitely win the award for total mind****ing game developers as they have been doing that to us for almost 20 years. Maybe they arent replying to create the illusion that they messed up in order for us to believe it more. Who knows, any idea seems plausible, but remember the sound leaks, Ed actually replied to tweets regarding them. In regards to this, he isnt. Who knows what that means.

These tweets lead me to believe that this maybe before the massive hack, and their concern of it getting out.

These tweets were in regards to them buring another build of the game, they also had a impromtu tourny going at the office, the "hack" your refering to is someone who just extracted the files from the demo, nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe they are not tweeting today because they think we are a bunch of ungrateful jerks? I think they are probably being inundated with spoiler/ leak related tweets saying, "that the prize is a disappointment." Maybe they are just busy?

No, PAX is this weekend, and its getting within a few weeks of pressing the disk gold so I would think its more then that. We need to also keep in mind that the demo build is 8 weeks old so we have no idea what changes have been made to between then and retail.

Just a bit of food for thought.

Im honestly 50/50 on all of this. If its all true ill still be happy as I did like what I saw and from the demo the gameplay really impressed me. The other 50% im still unsure because we all know Boon has trolled us since MK1 so either way Ill still be very happy

It probably is too late to change anything for the final game since everything pretty much is finalized.

BUT...
1. The leak is from an early build of the game, so a LOT will have changed. Maybe not the End Game spoiler or certain hidden characters, but some story elements, krypt items, etc. could very likely be different.

2. A lot of this info will likely be true, but also Boon is the master of tricks. He hid many other false tricks in the other Mortal Kombats, so it is very possible that a few things were intended to throw fans off. The programmers weren't very good at hiding some of this info (or taking it out totally) in the demo file, but they HAD to have known that it would be hacked and examined.

3. Patches can add some elements/change small things to different modes after release, and they don't have to be huge files to download. I was very surprised that the demo was only about 550MB. They packed a lot into that file. And if they are done with the game, they could start right now working on making a patch for day 1 release when you connect online.

4. DLC. New characters, costumes, fatalities, and maybe even a new mode will breath fresh life into the game, that won't be known about or hacked until it's available to everyone for purchase. Again, they could start working stuff right now so we can have new stuff to buy a week to a month after game release.

No matter what, I am very satisfied with how this game turned out, and all the extra modes, characters, and little touches they added in is already more than I expected.

If the info is a legit 'leak', I've underestimated the stupidity of Boon and co.

With so many games being hacked to reveal hidden info / data, as recently as MvC3 in fact, to not suspect this would happen to a game that's more renowned for its secrecy than any 'simple mode' casualware for kiddies has ever been, is faceplam worthy.

The ease of which this info was uncovered makes me feel that maybe this is a Boon ruse to stir up interest in the game and that the info may be some very embryonic build of the game, if not outright BS.

Here's hoping, because the omissions and reveals have been all of a negative nature, as far as I'm concerned.

who cares about leaks we dont know everything yet plus we all going to buy the game anyways we all huge fans of mortal kombat and plus its good to know some stuff so we know what we are getting into
