What I think they do is only supply PS3 controllers pads. If you have your own stick, bring it with you.

If you have a PDP stick, I'm sure you can buy some type of converter to play between the systems, or build some hack for it. You don't need to buy a whole new stick just to play on the other system.

I do know of a hack to make the PDP stick work on both systems, but it involves trashing a PS3 controller to do it and those things are pricey, lol. If I were going to do that, then I might as well build my own since it involves doing pretty much the same thing anyway. I had been under the impression that there was no such type of converter such as the one you suggested. However, just for the hell of it I did a quick google search anyway and turned up a few converters that might just do the trick.
The only problem it seems is that the usability of those converters seems to be rather questionable at best. Some people are complaining of terrible lag while using them, while others are saying that they may not work right with the latest firmware, so who knows. I'll just have to bite the bullet and see how it goes.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your input as it turned out such a product exists after all. Otherwise I would have never thought of going that route.

Are you turned off by the PS3 version due to controller issue like me or for some other reason?
If it's about the controller, I guess I could let you borrow the converter that I just ordered when it's your turn to play.
 
Next weekend is coming up! 10 days left!

The animated fighting game Skullgirls will also be playable at the tournament.

I totally forgot about this.

I'll be going.. the issue is the ps3 controller. I mean i had a ps and ps2 so im not that unfamiliar with it and it is basically the same button layout.. I just have a feeling that the controller itself could cost me in a match.
 
I also have the ps2 to ps3 converter if anyone here wants to use it for a tournament game(when I'm not playing).
 
It's been announced now that Street Fighter X Tekken will be there playable.

It also seems possible that someone from NRS will be there too.

That sucks. Wait, you were gonna drive to NJ from Florida? Or the ride to the airport/from the airport in Florida?
 
soo they put in mk9 for awhile then they put in Mvc3 and didnt say why they weren't playing mk9??? they said something about reptile?!??!
